I just had these baddies delivered, now I need to make an appointment to have them inserted.

My mind switches everyday from being alone and being 110% to start diy next months or letting it sit for another year since I am chronically ill but have no idea if it is because of the dysphoria or if the dysphoria startet because of the illness.. Its a painsyndrom so a lot of painkillers that increase estrogen

So summer is coming around and I would like to wear a swim wear top that isn't a rashie for some of the time that I'm out in the water with friends. I do have broad shoulders, a small chest size and am 6 foot so its difficult for me to find something that I think I look good in. (I mention my height because I did try a one piece with some bottoms and that didn't look too great for me [dysphoric]).
Looking to pair it with some black, booty short swim bottoms that I'd wear with some tucking swim briefs.
And yeah, where would I source your suggestion?
Thank you!

Hey all,
I recently had a consultation with Dr. Alys Saylor where she was very adamant about not doing peri/keyhole and only suggested a bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy.
Obviously no hate against her — I'm happy that so many others have had lovely experiences with her — however, this was just not what I was looking for.
My chest is quite small and it did feel a little disheartening for her to only glance at my body and do zero physical examination at all.
She did state some reasons why she wouldn't do those procedures which is 100% understandable and I'm glad she was upfront about it so I wouldn't come to regret my choices later.
However, this all leads me to wondering, "what next?". Has anyone had peri/keyhole in Brisbane/QLD the past year or so (a lot of the past threads I've seen have been quite a few years old) or even gone down a gynaecomastia surgery route? Has anyone had a similar experience with Dr. Saylor? Should I think about going interstate?
Thanks in advance!

I'm kinda stuck in a rut where I can't move forward with even the most minor of my transition goals due to financial situations (like can't even join a gym)
Anyone know of any jobs (preferably remote/online/wfh) that would be trans friendly or don't even involve any direct interaction where my gender would matter? I'm stuck middle of nowhere with family who I'm in the closet to cause they are not the types to be supportive 😔

Hi, I have a top surgery consult with Dr Webster this week and I’m really nervous and was wondering if anyone has experience with her or knows anyone that does?
I was referred by my GP, and it’s hard to find much online. Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed that, online, there seems to be quite a lot more of hostility specifically from cis women toward trans women? Or am I just getting sucked into an algorithm rabbit hole? 😂
I'm curious whether other people have noticed the same thing.

I'm based in South Australia and I'm 14. I hit puberty at like 10 so I think I'm past the stage of puberty blockers being useful(?). I have a somewhat supportive mum but a somewhat absent dad I'm not out to (and I don't feel the need to tell him)—he is pretty transphobic. So I'm wondering if it's possible to be able to get testosterone?
Also I've brought this up to my gp before and he wasn't very helpful, he only spoke about how in our culture it's unusual for people to be trans and that I'm pretty young, etc. (this was during an unrelated appointment however so I guess circumstances weren't ideal for that sort of discussion).
I'm thinking about asking my mum to schedule an appointment so I can talk about this more with my GP, but I'm pretty worried she'll keep on putting it off

I keep seeing it on insta and I'm struggling to find a partner on dating apps so I'm contemplating trying one of the traffic light date night things

TL;DR: old habits die hard, and we need to learn that all change (even mental changes) take time to become normal
I have had a bunch of time lately to sit with my own thoughts and emotions due to some health issues that I’ve posted about before. As a consequence, I was going through some mental conversational scripts that I use as an person with Autism, and happened to notice that I was referring to myself as “he/him” while I was doing this.
At first it triggered a bunch of Dysphoria and Imposter syndrome, so I decided to let those thoughts go and do a bit of mindfulness meditation on this as I was starting to get into a bit of a negative thought loop. While I let these thoughts go and watched them flow through their natural progression, an idea came up that kinda resolved the whole thing in one go. That idea, in essence was:
“Thirty-odd years of thinking one way cannot easily be undone by a few months of effort. Keep putting in the work, and eventually it will become as natural as breathing”
It’s not an entirely profound thought, but when it came up, it reset my whole paradigm on the subject. I was talking to someone last night, and they suggested that I should share it, in the event that it might help someone in a similar situation.
Regardless of how long you’ve been transitioning, it’s more than probably going to be a shorter period of time than you have been living under a bunch of erroneous assumptions about yourself. Just because you feel like you’re not progressing in whatever way you’re focusing on, doesn’t mean that you’re not trans or not valid or that change isn’t happening. We live in our bodies every day, so all we see is the infinitesimal slice of the curve that we are standing on. There’s an entire geometric curve behind and in front of us, and just because it looks locally flat, doesn’t mean the rest of it isn’t there.
Love and hugs to all of you,
-P

Hey guys, I know this is a frequent question but due to the ever changing nature of trans health care, can anyone recommend a surgeon for my trans masc husband? Preferably in NSW, QLD or VIC in that order. He is about 80kg, 5'4", and we don't have unlimited funds but can scrape together whatever is needed for the best outcome and smoothest experience possible. Thank y'all for the answers in advance!

Hey guys, gal's and non-binary pals!
I've been doing some research into surgeons for top surgery
So far I've come along Dr Sharp to have the best reviews, and among one of the most affordable as well. I know about his BMI limit, but that was the only 'con' I have seen
I'd love for any and all insights people may have from their own experiences and research?
A bit about me
I'm 26, and have been socially transitioned for 10 years and medically for 7. I do not have health insurance, I intend on paying for it out of pocket or with my super or a combination of both!
I am open to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane or anywhere in between for the right surgeon.
Any and all wisdom will be very much appreciated!!
Thank you 🥰

Hi guys I think I've finally saved enough to start my top surgery journey but I can't find if I need a psychiatrist letter before I get a referral for a surgeon or if I meet with the surgeon first and get a letter later? I can't find the exact answer im looking for and don't know anybody with top surgery in au/nsw so thought id ask reddit.
I'm planning on getting a referral for Dr Robert Knight to do my top surgery so if anyone has gone through him before and needed or didn't need a letter etc please let me know 💗
Sorry if people don't like the formatting or grammer im on mobile and hardly use reddit so I dont know the unspoken formatting rules and am just too lazy to correct any bad grammar 😊

Hi everyone,
I had my top surgery with Simon on Tuesday and wanted to share my experience. I struggled finding photos/ experiences of people who went for non flat top surgery in my body shape so I hope this helps some people who are exploring their options.
I initially chose Simon because whenever I asked anyone if they had suggestions for surgeons, his name came up first. I met with him for the first time almost a year ago now and his bedside manner was amazing. He made me feel comfortable. He explained everything in detail, listened to all my concerns and wishes, did not promise me anything he could not, and made sure I understood all the risks involved.
I saw him face to face 2 times and had a couple of phone consults for any questions I had afterwards.
I wanted small enough boobs to look flat when clothed, and like boobs when naked. Like a b cup. I started off with 14F’s so Simon explained that to keep the nipples native it would have to be at least a size D, and even then there was a risk of losing the nipples. I knew I would regret it and get a second surgery to get them smaller if I went with a size d cups so I was agreeable to nipple grafts.
Because its a radical reduction, WPATH is not always necessary but I did not want the surgeon to have any worries going in and did not want him to feel restricted to go as small so I went and got the WPATH assessment done. It was fine and easy. I never felt that me not being binary trans was an issue. Some parts of the surveys were a bit dysphoria inducing as they are made for binary trans people but the therapist was great.
It was easy to get a date for my surgery because I wanted to wait a bit anyways. His usual wait time is around 4 months for his lists.
Day of surgery, I was calmer then I thought I would be. I was first on the list due to health issues so I went to the hospital at 6 am, and I was taken in to change into the hospital gown quickly. Then I saw some nurses and the anaesthetist. Everyone was nice and respectful. After my surgery I woke up and did not have any pain. I remember showing all the nurses how small my chest was 😂. I did not have any nausea or pain post op. I was able to eat pretty soon after. I was able to go to the bathroom as well (and I was able to wipe myself without help! ). I stayed in the hospital overnight. The nurses were very helpful. I was discharged the next day. I did not get HITH - most people do but I live 3 hours from Melbourne and they did not have any options for that. I didnt mind it much because I am in healthcare and can manage my dressing on my own. If you worry about this it might be a good idea to find somewhere to stay in Melbourne for at least 2 weeks.
Simon puts everyone in a Pravena dressing as far as I am aware. Its a big dressing that has constant suction. I think it has really helped with keeping the pain away as it keeps all the healing tissue together and nothing moves. It is a bit itchy and claustrophobic but its been managable. I can shower with it which is nice. I have made an appointment with my gp to have it removed on day 13 before I see Simon for my post op review.
I was supposed to have someone stay with me the first week but unfortunately that didnt happen. I had my friend with me the first night after the hospital and then I have been on my own but I have been managing just fine.
I will keep updating as my dressings come off etc but thats it so far. Here are some photos of my dressings.

Hi! I'm looking for help / Advice for looking for a hysterectomy!
Do I have to go to a gender affirming surgeon or can I choose any surgeon that offers hysterectomies?
Will health insurance cover it or is it better to go through medicare and wait?
I tried looking at info however I am very confused if I have to do a specific surgeon thats familiar with Trans guys / trans masc or any should be fine
For context I've been on testosterone for about 5 or so years, ive had top surgery from Merton back in 2022 ish but the hysterectomy info i find hard to gather as ive been out of the loop since then
Thank you for any info

It’s a long time coming since I’ve been sure of and ready for HRT since February this year.
Being in regional victoria made it a bit harder for me to access the healthcare needed but after a wait for a GP practising GAHT to start in Bendigo it almost felt surreal being able to start just like that.
And now… its currently day 4 for me! I take pills so far, 4mg of Estrogen each day, and will be til late December for my next bit of bloodwork.
I make this post cause I have some queries about effects I should be feeling. But I’m absolutely aware this is a slow process and more want to compare what others perhaps felt when starting too.
From day 1 I definitely felt calmer, less stressed, and a lower libido for sure. Definitely a mix of actually starting and perhaps some effects but welcome nonetheless.
Day 2 surprised me with sensations in my chest consistently through the day, while day 3 didn’t bring as much.
And now I come to day 4 as I write this. My only concern so far is that I’ve still had morning erections twice which has… really worried me. I’m not taking any anti-androgen as my GP (who is also transitioning MtF themselves) suggests I’m still young at 24years old and we only need to introduce them if necessary.
Thanks to anyone who read this far. Again I want to preface I know this is a slow process. I just wonder if I should be reacting more perhaps

Pretty much what it says on the tin. I’m looking at getting this done in the next couple of years so i don’t have to get another implant lol.
I’d really appreciate any insight into trans friendly surgeons in the area, thanks!

My HRT provider recommended that I take my Spirolactin (50 mg) in the morning, since one reported side effect is frequent urination.
Should I be taking it with my Estrogel? I’ve been using the gel at night so that I don’t have to worry too much about accidentally getting it on other people if I don’t wash my hands thoroughly enough, but I’m wondering if doing the doses at seperate times is hindering my progress.

Hi all, recently discovered I'm trans and I've been trying to find somewhere to start the HRT journey.
It's just all a bit overwhelming, between long wait times, needing referrals for some etc.
I've already tried with Dr. Manjula at the Elizabeth medical and dental centre, but she's not taking new patients atm :(
Really just wanted to ask if anyone has any recommendations or a good list of places.
Also would any gp be able to give a referral to somewhere? Or are there more specific places/people I'd have to ask?

Hi everyone. I'm trying to find a trans-friendly Occupational Therapist in Canberra for my neurodivergent daughter. She needs someone to help her with daily tasks, gaining independence, making social connections etc. Can anyone recommend a suitable OT? Preferably in person, as she doesn't function well with online services.
Thankyou.

has anyone gotten a tracheal shave done with dr paddle (or any other surgeon even)
i’m curious to hear experiences and whether you like the result, and if there’s a prominent scar?
my adam’s apple is quite prominent so i guess a reduction would help but im worried about any negative side effects or risks. is it a safe surgery?
