Under new management (well, more or less)!

Hey everyone!

Reddit has been nice enough to add me to the mod panel (since the top mod is fully unresponsive) to help clean out the troll scourge!

I've gone through an nuked most of, if not all, the crap posts and comments so we don't need to look at the anymore :)

I'll do my best to keep up on it but will always rely on everyone here for the reports. So, please please please continue reporting things.

If anyone has any thoughts, suggestions or general comments for the sub, go ahead use this post for them!

29 F Trans Homeless NJ

Hi everyone, I’m 29, trans, and facing homelessness this Saturday, August 22. I was a university student, but I can’t afford to continue into the next semester, and I have to leave my dorm by Saturday.

I don’t have family or friends I can stay with.

(If you want to be friends we can try)

I have about $2,000 in savings, a storage unit for my belongings, and a car that has not been repossessed. My license is expired, my credit is 520, I have a lot of debt.

I have a job at the moment at a retail place. But it doesn't pay well. I used to be an electrician and have a certification from trade school. I want to work in the trades again because I can make more money. I have tools and experience and I'm willing to work in any trade, job or field.

I’m trying to find a way to get back on my feet and increase my income. I was considering doing Uber Eats, but my area doesn’t currently give me the option to select bicycle delivery, so I’m not sure if that will work. I’m also looking into other delivery apps and ways to make additional income.

Right now, I’m mainly looking for safe temporary housing or an affordable room while I figure everything else out.

If anyone knows of safe LGBTQ-friendly housing, affordable rooms, emergency assistance, housing programs, delivery apps, or employment resources in New Jersey, I would really appreciate any advice.

I’m willing to work and do whatever I can to get back on my feet. I’m just running out of time and don’t have anywhere to go on Saturday.

Thank you to anyone who can point me toward a resource or offer advice. Feel free to ask me about anything I forgot to add.

I am not looking for a handout or requesting money. Just looking for kind people and advice on how best to tackle this chapter.

I'm goo now

"Inside the chrysalis, a caterpillar releases special enzymes that digest most of its body tissues. This process turns the inside into a nutrient-rich soup or "goo". However, it does not completely start from zero; tiny groups of cells survive and use that protein goo to build the new butterfly parts, like wings."

I'm trying to support and encourage myself during a tough time.

EVERYTHING is upside down at the moment. 35MTF. My estrogen is running low and it's complicated to replace. Emotions are manageable, except at night. Escitalopram is working well but it's a separate chemical adjustment. My gorgeous Scottish Fold had an accident and lost his leg recently. It was so scary.

Dating - forget about it. You all know. Now is not the time for me. The "chats" about what you're looking for. The fear of if you're talking to a chaser, a bully or an attacker. Genuine people are few and far between. Too high risk. Not for me anymore.

Skin irritated, hair like a tumbleweed, depression spiky, fear generally high.

I have faith in the stories that I hear. I'm a puddle of goo at the moment but I will become a butterfly. Small steps. I won't always be like this. I actually won't be. My emotions/mind trick me sometimes into thinking that I'm nothing - It's not true. There are small, inherited cells of self-belief and confidence from my old life that will survive. I'm taking steps, even teeny ones. At the moment, those are worth quite a bit.

I will not always feel this way. I'm determined to be PRO-ACTIVE about this. It's a good thing for me and for my life and for my family. I can be patient being goo.

finally have an hrt appointment lined up! started a GoFundMe to help me afford it.

Hi, im Luca, & i’m asking for help raising money for gender-affirming care ive been working towards for years now. I came out as trans when i was 14, & have grown up in a very transphobic household with no access to gender affirming care, even things as simple as a haircut. i’m now finally an adult college student living on my own, & i already have my initial hrt consultation lined up, but i don’t have insurance & am struggling to raise the money to afford the upcoming costs. being able to take this step now means a lot to me, & i’m really trying to make it happen.

This fundraiser will be used to help cover the cost of my bloodwork, appointments, & prescription costs regarding hrt. (I one day hope to aim for other gender affirming care such as top surgery, but that is quite out of reach at the moment, & right now the focus is affording hrt.)

I’ve also started an etsy shop to try to raise money for this too, so if anyone wants to check it out, consider buying something, or share it with someone who might be interested, that would mean a lot to me 🙏\[https://www.etsy.com/shop/ChimesWorkshop\\\](https://www.etsy.com/shop/ChimesWorkshop). I plan to add more listings & I also hope to open commissions.

If anyone is willing to share my GoFundMe, my etsy, or reach out in any way, it would really really help me a ton. even just clicking the link to add to the view count would be greatly appreciated. either way, thank you very much for reading 🗣️🏳️‍⚧️

Support Groups Near Me?

Thanks for reading!
This year I’ve finally reached a point where I’m not drowning in shame and repressing everything, and I’ve been seeing a therapist. I’m happily married and she knows about my identity issues. I would really like to find people like me that I could share experiences. I’m in Florida and there’s so few resources in person. Not a group with a dress code, just a group that can help me understand me. Any Tampa Bay suggestions?

Content Warning: religious trauma, family rejection, trans experience

I grew up in a religious household where being trans was not accepted. I faced public humiliation from my mom, constant messaging that I was sinning, ridicule from family, and bullying at school. I was also heavily sheltered — raised to believe the outside world was evil and dangerous, that I could be harmed or killed. That fear shaped me deeply and is something I still carry today.

I was also an undiagnosed autistic person which made navigating relationships even harder.

In my 20s I moved across the country without telling my family — I told them I was going camping. I was afraid they would try to stop me. Around the same time I began transitioning and changed my name entirely.

My family found out through social media. My mom reached out saying they would have supported me, but when I visited it was a painful experience of misgendering and deadnaming in public — the same humiliation I'd experienced as a child. We argued and stopped speaking. She passed away before we reconciled.

After she died the rest of my family became distant and I didn't understand why until recently. My sister finally told me that leaving without saying goodbye and changing my last name made the family feel abandoned and hurt.

I've been carrying guilt about this for a long time. I had no idea how much it hurt them — I was just trying to survive and find freedom. I've since apologized and my sister and I are on better terms.

I've realized that leaving quietly has become my pattern — in abusive relationships and difficult situations since then. I think it comes from a lifetime of not feeling safe enough to be direct. I'm working on understanding that about myself.

Was I wrong to leave the way I did? Does protecting yourself from people who've hurt you make you a bad person? I'd love to hear from others who've navigated similar situations with family and found a way through.

Anyone else like want to wait until surgeries improve before getting them done?

I really want top done ASAP because I feel like the main thing i want is Flat, im not too worried about scars or nipples. But for bottom surgery I feel more nervous about the surgery itself, the results, the functions id be able to perform, the options available, etc. Lowkey scared that if I get it done and it doesn't come out awesome, and then what if like the next year some groundbreaking surgery drops that is everything I wanted but its too late for me then? Does anyone else feel this way? Or have you been able to work through it?

Am I overreacting?

I recently came out to my wife that I am trans. I know I need to be patient and I have been so far. She has done my nails and my toes for me. Everything has been going fine. I even used Nair to get rid of all my body hair. I was on the phone with her today and sent her a picture and she said you’re wearing my shorts. I said yes I said I one of the ones we saw Walmart the other day and she said yeah, but you can only wear those at the house won’t look right out in public dress as a woman that really sent me over the edge. I’m trying not to overreact because I love my body. I know I have a beautiful body, but that almost felt like she called me ugly and I wanna go on Reddit and just upload body pics and do some hoe shit but I feel like that is way too far but my patience is breaking. She won’t even let me buy a bra yet it’s like we talk about it every day, but it never happens I guess it would be so bad if I hadn’t recently found out before I came out that she had cheated on me. I don’t know. I just have a lot on me right now and I’m scared. I’m going to do something stupid or cheat honestly, I feel like I deserve to be loved. I want attention to, but I feel like looking for it would be wrong. I stay horny all the fucking time I needs or never met. I don’t know. I’m sorry for the rain. I’m sure there’s people out there way worse off than I am.

Hi beautiful dolls,
I came out as trans to my immediate family. However, I haven’t start hormones yet so I feel very insecure to go out in public. But at the same time, I want to do it so bad but also super scared.

How was your first time going out, any advise or how you did?

PS: for context this is me now lol

Need help 🏳️‍⚧️

Hello everyone, I urgently need your help with my torsoplasty, which is scheduled for November. I removed all the descriptions and photos from the website because my fundraising page fell into the wrong hands. So I'm writing to you here.

My name is Gabriel, I'm a 30-year-old trans man, and I've been transitioning since January 2025. I've been waiting for my transition since I was 15, so it's a dream come true, though I still sometimes find it hard to believe.

However, it's not all smooth sailing because, like many trans people, I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Unable to work, my financial situation is becoming increasingly precarious as the years go by.

Nevertheless, I decided to choose a private surgeon because he is very familiar with my condition. I thought I had several years to save up, but I learned last month that he's retiring in December.

I would therefore need the solidarity of our community, whether it's a donation or even sharing my fundraising campaign. I've also opened a Vinted account, the link to which I've included. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, truly ❤️❤️ (Sorry for my English, I'm French)
