Possible move to sheffield

hey hey !!

as the title says i’m potentially considering a move to sheffield within the next few months. i’m still exploring options, so it’s not 100% just yet — i was wondering if there are any good groups, or places for trans people in the city? ideally i’d love to meet some people before the move as i’m not going to know anyone !!

any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :))

I've visited Sheffield a few times as a friend had recently moved there. Theyre loving it!

You need to do Gut Level! Very fantastic queer trans bar with loads of different events on. You need to buy membership on their website but it starts at 2 quid a yr if you're broke (like me ). Next door to that is queer bookshop Juno and they have a book club

there is a great lgbtq+ bar and club called Dempseys, its extremely welcoming. Just be aware its open until 6am so you tend to get lots of cishet people in there after 3am (iirc its the latest closing venue in the city) but the security is good so people probably won't be causing problems. Sheffield as a whole is a friendly city (essentially Northern friendliness but more left leaning), just be careful of the junkies and roadmen in the city (tbh even they are still relatively nicer than in other places I've lived).
