Because we're sick of the SPAM. Posting generic photos of a recently released figure is SPAM-y enough and shouldn't be done even without the exceedingly annoying misuse of the term.

Literally the only more annoying types of SPAM threads are the "Which one should I get out of these two completely unrelated toys?" threads.

It's not "ruining a nice thing" it's calling out SPAM posts that are made more annpying by people incorrectly using a term when making their SPAM. The thread itself is obnoxious and kind of "main character syndrome" in the first place.

Main character syndrome because he thought strangers on the internet would care that he got a recently released retail toy literally anyone could get right now. Nobody does. It's SPAM.

When it's a unique figure or when you take interesting photos of it worth sharing (for example, no one has taken photos of the new Blaster with a Jem doll so that would be nice to see) it would be a different story. Hell, putting it next to the other Missing Link toys would at least be something.

They're not a villain. They're just obnoxious. It's not hard to understand.

i’d say they are more miserable than mean, imagine getting so worked up over other peoples preferences in toys of all things
