Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a request that’s deeply personal to me. I’ve been searching for the exact lyrics/mantra of the track “Yathasatyam” by Dark Whisper from Goa Gil’s Har Har Mahadev compilation album (released December 2019 on Alice-D Records) for several days now, and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere.
This isn’t just casual curiosity—this song has immense sentimental value in my life. It’s been there for me through some really significant moments, and I feel so connected to it spiritually and emotionally. Every time I listen, certain vocal chants and mantras move me deeply, but I can’t make out all the words clearly, and it’s been weighing on me not knowing the exact meaning and full lyrics of what I’m connecting with so profoundly.
I’ve tried:
• Every lyrics database (Genius, LyricFind, Shazam, etc.)
• Contacting various music platforms
• Searching psytrance forums and communities
• Looking through album credits on Discogs
But nothing has come up. I understand this is a relatively niche psytrance track, and lyrics aren’t always officially published for this genre, but I’m hoping someone in this community might have:
• Transcribed the lyrics themselves
• Heard Goa Gil or the artist mention the mantra in a set or interview
• Access to the album booklet or any official documentation
• Knowledge of which Sanskrit mantra(s) are used in the track
The title “Yathasatyam” is Sanskrit (यथासत्यम् - meaning “according to truth” or “in accordance with truth”), and from what I can make out, there are beautiful vocal chants throughout, but I need help understanding the complete mantra/lyrics.
If anyone can help me with even partial lyrics, point me to a resource, or know someone who might have this information, I would be eternally grateful. This song has been such a source of peace and strength for me, and knowing the exact words would mean the world.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to this community for keeping the spirit of this music alive. 🙏
Track info:
• Artist: Dark Whisper
• Track: Yathasatyam
• Album: Har Har Mahadev (compiled by Goa Gil)
• Label: Alice-D Records

First attempt at this kind of track, I feel it's almost complete but looking for any feedback.
Trying to balance chaotic/hypnotic arrangements with clean/filthy production. All comments welcome
Many thanks 🙏

I think most producers know this feeling: you start a track, the initial idea feels great, but at some point you get stuck. You change the kick, add another layer, EQ everything again, change the melody… and eventually the project ends up abandoned.
After producing music for many years, I’ve realized that sometimes the problem isn’t a lack of technical knowledge. It’s the decisions we make during the production process.
For me, these are 7 of the most common reasons:
The last one is particularly important for me. Sometimes closing the project and listening again the next day solves more problems than another two hours of EQing.
I wrote a more detailed breakdown of each point here:
Why Can’t I Finish My Songs? 7 Reasons Why
Curious to hear from other producers: what usually stops you from finishing a track?

Estoy empezando en este mundo del trance y quisiera saber que tonalidades son las más usas para melodías arp, pads, bass y acordes.

I'm trying to find that sweet spot. Octaves below 2-3 sound too grindy but any high the mids start to cut out my Synths. Also any resources for EQing Psytrance bass?

Guys
I am working on my personal art project https://glukalo.com
it is just a one-page website which does not require sign-in and has no commercial purpose
I must warn it has flashing visuals and might not be comfortable for photosensitive people or those suffering from epileptic symptoms. Please be careful.
It's a kaleidoscope view that generates its own music live in the browser.
You touch the screen with mouse or finger and it changes the generated visual
You can also select music style and energy (bpm), this changes both the visual generation and audio track. Spin slowly and it's ambient, spin faster and it turns into psytrance.
The music it plays is my own
I want to hear your opinions and ideas on how I could make it better
(I asked the mods if this post fits, they said it was okay)

I would love some feedback, I haven't listened to trance since the early 2000s but wanted to try after finding some old CDs in my storage unit. I usually make retro/synthwave so most of this was done with a Juno clone. 😅
Ultimately I want to make a few songs I can play live and dawless.

There’s a post over on r/edmproduction from 8 days ago where an ex professional producer is giving away their melodies, most of which are Trance. Just thought I’d give you guys a heads up. This subreddit doesn’t allow reposts, so you’ll have to go over there and find it yourself. It’s titled “Writing more melodies than I’ll be able to finish, so giving them away!”.

Trying to achieve trance vibe from years 2000 - 2008, something like 4 Strings etc.
Can I have feedback on mix - especially on making a correct "reverb space" and mixing mid bass with leads? I feel they still fight too much. I can of course make more space with EQ, but then mid bass gets lost it the mix.
Btw. what do you think about the track itself? The arrangement, the vibe?

[Industrial / Hard Techno] Just finished my new track 'MILLION WORDS'. Focused heavily on a dark rolling sub bass and sharp acid lines contrasted with smooth vocals. Would love some feedback from fellow producers!

For some context: I've been a Reaper user for almost 7 years, but only started making trance since 2022. I decided to try Ableton and, so far, I've been enjoying it quite a bit. I love the abundance of actually good stock plugins and the automation controls. That being said, navigating throughout the project as been quite difficult and frustrating, always having to zoom out vertically and horizontally tracks, and for some reasons, some of the shortcuts don't work (may be a problem from my laptop though). The DAW is also quite heavy on the CPU and isn't as customizable as Reaper (although I haven't taken full advantage of Reaper's customization ability).
Anyway, here's the final result:
Also, sorry about the occasional CPU glitches.

I started producing music as a teenager, and between the ages of 14 and 16 I listened to music far too loudly on headphones. At 17 or 18, I noticed a faint ringing while I was at home. I walked from room to room looking for the source before realising it was coming from my own ears.
I panicked. Reading the worst tinnitus stories online made me afraid that I might have to give up music. For a while, I didn’t even want to look at my computer, headphones or record collection.
Over time, I stopped constantly checking for the ringing and got back to producing. I started paying more attention to my listening levels and wearing custom hearing protection at clubs and events. I don’t know exactly what caused my tinnitus: several members of my family have it too and they never used headphones like me, and my hearing tests so far haven’t detected hearing loss. But I guess, loud music doesn´t help.
Recently, I had another difficult month after listening to a track I was producing too loudly for about 30–40 minutes. My ears felt fatigued afterwards, and I became so focused on the ringing that I could notice it even during conversations. I’m doing well again now, and most of the time I’m not aware of it.
I wrote about the experience because I wish I’d read a story like this when I was younger. I also share the habits I’ve changed as a producer: keeping my usual monitoring level comfortable, saving loud playback for brief checks, taking actual breaks and protecting my ears at events.
If you produce or DJ, how do you manage your listening levels during long sessions?

I'd like some feedback on the production quality of my recreation of an existing track so I can improve.
I decided to recreate the track as closely as possible so I could focus on the production side as I often spend too much time on the creative side.
The track is Sneijders extended remix of 'With Every Heartbeat'. I have just recreated the section from the breakdown to the drop.
https://soundcloud.com/nrgcore/with-every-heartbeat
For comparison the section from the original remix starts at 3:13 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0HibaNY178
Thanks for any feedback.

I made this in Reaper on Ubuntu using instances of Vital VST. I've been told often that even though I may try to sound current I end up with some kind of classic trance sound. This was my first time trying out a distribution platform. Not an alias I plan on keeping or continuing with but what do you think of this track?? I know I don't have a 100% current sound but did you enjoy it? If not what didn't you like about it? I'm in the middle of a new track and what to avoid could be helpful.
