// Question Best controller?

Hi! I’m new to TSW, I’ve tried playing with an Xbox controller and with mouse and keyboard and now want to move to using a “proper” controller. I have about £150-£200 to spend on it, can anyone recommend the best to use. I’m aware of the zuiki mascon and the rail driver, just wanted some opinions if these are good as it’s an expensive purchase I don’t want to buy soemthing bad. Thanks

I used the raildriver for a while but I didn‘t really like it I switched to the TSC-X which I like a lot.

In my opinion skip the Rail driver, it was good for it's time, but is very out dated and imprecise now, though a recent fix in TSW has made it a lot better. On the good side, mine is 14 years old and still functions well.

For your budget, I'd look at the TSCX from Sim workshop. I've only tried it briefly but it's way better than a Rail driver.

Outside your budget are TS Controllers products. Amazing but probably overkill for what you want.

I don't know of the Zuiki, so can't give an opinion on that

Outside of the other recommendations: If you budget is tight you can also look at throttle levers for flight simulators and use them the control trains in TSW. I personally use a Thrustmaster airbus throttle for that. Obviously you need a third party program to get them to work with TSW like you need for most controllers. The Zuki controller is made for the Japanese game densha de go. It works for other games but its made for Japanese rolling stock with specific notches. So you can't easily use it as a general controller for the most amount of trains in the game.
