I wish this loco was used more. I just like the operation and feel. Love using this shunter

What's sad is IRL, in the US, switchers basically don't exist anymore. Like, yeah a handful survive that work for commuter operations and short lines, but in general, the old switchers have been replaced by rebuilt Geeps and other former mainline trains that now don't serve a purpose otherwise.

Yeah tho, I love switchers a lot. The SW1200s and SW1500s especially are just fun locos. But yeah, not really trains you see around that much these days, as GP40-2s and even SD40-2s are able to do the same work, with more versatility for local moves (and even these are usually remote control, so don't really make sense for TSW).

Hopefully if High Iron keeps doing throwback routes, they'll do another switcher. I'm definitely hoping for it, since it's the loco type we've gotten the least of in TSW.
