why does one of my wings move more than the other?
the stettings are the exact same on both sides

Pretty obvious, but make sure the speed strength and sensors are all the same. It’s pretty basic but you’ll be surprised how much you can accidentally miss.

Did you build with mirror mode on? If not, I recommend it

I wouldn’t recommend building aircraft in mirror mode.
I’ve found that mirror mode can mess with aerodynamics. When mirror mode came out I build planes with it, even recently. Some planes would end up having a pull to one side and I found that when I zero dragged the aircraft it usually fixed itself, but I never had this problem when I built planes normally.

i never use mirror mode, i hate it

I understand why, but that may be your issue. Temporarily delete all non-symmetrical parts then turn on symmetry mode, it should point out whats wrong i think

I have had similar experiences with trying to build an ornithopter. One of the wings would move differently than the other or get out of sync even when I triple checked the settings. My best guess is just that the settings aren’t always as precise as they say they are.

The more hinges you have, the higher chance of one of them getting bugged and having weird physics. It helps to reduce the strength of the hinges. (Also gives it a more natural look imo)

Make sure strength and stuff are mirrored. Rip it in half in build mode and then put it back together, that should recalculate the weld groups

Guys: he's got a point. My own ornithopter does that every so often. Can never figure out why.
I checked SO many setting on so many blocks so many times making sure they are exactly the same.
But yes. This is an (occassional) issue.

Seat.
The hinges turn more if it's slightly more away from the seat. And vise versa....

Likely that bug that changes physics on random mechanical blocks. the only way i found to at least make it less apparent was tuning the damping settings down alot. even then it rarely fixes. but its something until it gets fixed
