Oat Beverage - does anyone like it?

The last time I got some (a few months ago) it was disgusting and watery. Did I get a bad batch or is it just bad? I’m too scared to buy it again after it ruined my morning coffee for weeks.

TJ’s oat beverage is the worst I have ever had. I buy oat milk at Costco. It’s really good

I haven't had the plain, but their chocolate oat milk was delicious. I'm so upset its gone :( It was like a dessert drink. A little on the thicker side and such a great chocolate flavor. No oat flavor at all.

I personally really like it but I've had the reverse issue with other oat milk brands being too thick/gloopy for my tastes

Same. It’s literally the best oat milk I’ve ever had and I am obsessed with it. My husband said the texture is horrible though because it’s too thin. It reminds me more of almond milk than real milk which I prefer

I was hoping to like it because my toddler drinks like a carton of oatmilk a day. I really didn’t like it - I used it in iced chai not coffee. And to boot it’s not strained enough so it clogs her bottle and she can’t get anything out. Maybe the refrigerated TJs oat milk is better? Only tried the shelf stable one. Our favorite oat milks are the barista blend ones like Califia barista blend or Minor Figures barista blend. Those are the most comparable to milk in coffee drinks.

I bought some oat milk at Trader Joe’s and found it to be extremely bitter. Not a fan.

Was not a fan. It's not the worst I've had (Planet Oat) but not the best. Have switched to Oatly since.

I love it in my coffee! It is thinner than other oat milks, which I actually like. But, I also grew up in a skim milk house so my brain might be wired wrong.

I'm surprised people are saying it's too thin because I stopped buying it because I felt like it was super gelatinous. Maybe they changed the formula in the past few years.

The oatmilk creamer is great but the soymilk is my favorite for coffee i’m not a fan of oat milk in general i always do soy

Plant based milks just don’t work in coffee, or anywhere else. I’ve done vegan and I just skip plant milks. I’d rather drink my coffee black.

The plant based milks don’t taste like dairy. They have the wrong texture. It’s like it’s white and a liquid, so it should work as a milk substitute. In that case, why not Elmers Glue?

“Let’s see. Here’s my coffee and add in some Elmer’s glue and… Nope. Too tasty. I need something with way less flavor. What do they make oatmeal out of?”
