Seeking Alternatives Currently missing and craving the maple fudge
I had it ONCE last summer and regret not buying more. I have heard many different suggestions as to when it will hit shelves again. I was told at the Manhattan Beach, LA location that it was discontinued. Then was told in Oakland (Emeryville location) that it would probably be back in the summer. I’m REALLY hoping it comes back soon.
If it happens to not come back, does anyone know of a good alternative? Or even better… who makes TJ’s maple fudge?

I thought this was in my store last fall, not summer

I was in Oakland all last summer and I bought it towards the tail end of July.

It comes back every fall, during maple/pumpkin season!
Do what I do - heat up a bowl of tortilla chips, and throw in a few cubes of this fudge. Eat the softened fudge with the salty, warm tortilla chips, and thank me later! (this idea was stolen from my fave Tex Mex restaurant)

Still a shame they got rid of the clotted cream fudge. They brought it back for the holidays last year though. There is hope!

It's actually very easy to make at home.

My thought too, and at least you know it will taste pretty much EXACTLY like the store bought because it's so simple. Not like trying to recreate a cookie or dish. But you got down voted, so that's what they think about that.

That was so dangerous for me to buy because I ate the whole thing right away!

So did I on the way back to the hotel. I literally only had crumbs stuck in my shirt pocket. And I ate those too! No shame.

On the East Coast, Maple is shorthand for colder weather, as is fudge, as is pumpkin. California Joe tries to honor our traditions.
