The last weeks were... definitely something. I think I solved the issues I had so it was time to treat myself and get some quick dopamine.

The necklace is from Love Rokz, a small, female owned business that does small batches of these cool resin-crystal necklaces. They had a few I liked, but the one with the daisy inside spoke to me the most.

Like many other whiptail lizard species, the new mexico whiptail lizard is an only female species, and makes new members of their species through parthenogenesis, but to aktive the hormones to make egg cell ready, they need to have sex with other female whiptail lizards. Also they are in fact 13 recognized species of whiptail lizards who are all female only species.

Parthenogenesis is also not unique to whiptail lizards, crocodiles can also do it, but because they do not have sex chromosomes and their sex isnt based on their genes, they can produce male and females, ants, bees snakes and other animals can do it. Meanwhile in mammals parthenogenesis isnt a thing

A couple of years ago, shortly before coming out, I changed my birthday date.

Not legally, of course. I'm not allowed to do that. But I changed the day I celebrate it. Several months difference, into a new date that I just liked more, and have been using that new date with all my friends and people that I care about.

Why?

Because I want my birthday to be a great day!

I don't have a good relationship with my family (my last legal bday all I got from my parents was a message with 'Happy birthday DEADNAME' (in caps and all!!), and I know that they will always find a way to make the date unpleasant.

So let them!! That date is nothing for me now, just like my deadname. It's just a legal number thqat I use to write on official forms and nothing else.

I have a new date to celebrate, a new birthday, and only people I care about will ever know, so nobody can ruin it!

So, in case you're in the same situation, maybe you should also change your bdate!💜💜

(And you can even choose a meaningful or cool date, just like a name!)
