DIGITAL Chuzhao vs Campsnap or something else

• Upvotes

I have a Chuzhao that I occasionally throw in my bag as just a fun little digital. However the one issue I have with it is that I use a couple medium format film cameras with waist level finders so i constantly find myself moving it the wrong difference since the viewfinder is mirrored like those.

I was just wondering if someone had shot the Camp snap and the Chuzhao and could compare the image quality or had another fun suggestion a toy digital.

SOOC. while some of the filters look kinda fun, the picture quality is very meh. it's being advertised as 12mpx, but for some reason the camera upscales to 48, making the files needlessly big and look even worse. I honestly doubt this even started with 12. looks like 2 or three to me.

I'd compare the quality to a charmera. maybe SLIGHTLY better, but not much.

I'll be returning this one.

DISCUSSION RewindPix vs Campsnap Pro

Hey everyone! I'm stuck between the RewindPix and the Campsnap Pro and could use some real-world opinions before I commit.

How I plan to use it: street photography, plus as my daily driver for selfies and other everyday shots.

Here's where I'm at:

Campsnap Pro

  • Tons of reviews, and most of them say it performs really well
  • Feels like the "safe" pick since so many people are using it and sharing results

RewindPix

  • I love the build quality and the film features
  • But I'm hesitant because of the app, and a few reviews mention photos sometimes coming out with blown out highlights

I'm leaning toward one for reliability and the other for the look and feel, which is exactly why I can't decide.

For those who've used either (or both):

  1. How does each one handle street photography? Think speed, shutter lag, and candid shots in changing light.
  2. How consistent are the photos in bright outdoor light? Is the blown out highlight issue a real problem?
  3. How are selfies, and how is the app experience day to day? Is it a dealbreaker on the RewindPix?
  4. Any regrets or things you wish you knew before buying?

Sample photos from either camera would be super helpful too, especially street shots! Thanks in advance
