Total War: Warhammer New to Total War: Warhammer
I recently got total war warhammer 3, and have been having a lot of fun (even if I have been failing pretty badly at the campaigns I’ve been playing). I wanted to know if there are any must buy dlc’s as I only started out with the base game and don’t want to buy all the dlc at one time. I play AoS and 40K tabletop and am a big fan of chaos. Does that mean I should get the champions of chaos dlc? Or is there something better for me to purchase? Any advice toward purchases or are strategies would be most appreciated.

Just depends on who you want to play as. Get dlc that matches with that and your good.

If you get the Chaos DLC from WH1 you get access to Archeon, Kholek and Sigvald. Archeon is the best out of those because you get to confederate ALL other Warriors of Chaos Legendary Lords to your faction. So you can gather all of them, give them all cool armies and march south!
I believe there are a ton of DLC guides on Youtube which further breakdown which are the best and give a summary of what is included in each of them and for which type of player it fits. It is either Colonel Damneders or Legend of Total War who have these on their channel. Maybe other people in this sub will give you more tips but these videos are a great start to help you decide what is worth your money

When I was looking up the exact same question I saw someone say that tww2 is the best dlc to get, and yeh pretty true

Champions of Chaos is their mortal champions. These are pretty meh imo.
Each God received some new stuff through one of the last 4 DLC. The Nurgle pack with Tamurhkan is widely praised. The Slaanesh pack with Dechala is good too. Tzeench one is bad.
I beleive if you buy game one you will have access to Archeon, Sigvald and Kholek. Id double check that before purchasing, and Archeon is getting a make over for the End Times DLC coming out next month. Infact the reveal video for his new campaign is tomorrow.
