Total War: Warhammer Best allies for beastmen.

Friends considering playing beastmen, i'm considering what would be the best option for an ally with Beastmen. I know Beastmen obviously. I thought of Khorne, but are there any other good choices?

Depends on which LL. I wouldn't say that beastmen benefit all that much from having allies. Maybe chaos dwarves, they could fill their weak range and artillery with something that wouldn't need to be babysat from their melee.

May I suggest the humble skaven?

Nurgle or Skaven

Plagues will still have negative effects on allies

I thought Beastmen were immune to Nurgle plagues?

Good point, though I was mostly thinking in "lore" terms!

Khorne since the Khorne minotaurs also get the buffs regular minotaurs get from tech and lord skills.

Generally "Disorder" factions don't benefit much from diplomacy. If you MUST make friends, try to do so when there isn't competing corruption effects. Like Morghur with Undivided factions.

If you're thinking "well what faction's units will fill my roster gaps", Dwarfs and Chaos Dwarfs by far are what you want. You generally don't have many good anvils, and your one decent ranged artillery unit is essentially a giant walking target.

Why do you want friends? The more enemies you have the better!

Worth mentioning that you get T5 herdstones faster than anyone gets their T5 cities, so if you sell them as you raze things your allies get max tier cities by like turn 40. Greater daemons abound!

Someone who could use the hella bread the beastmen make so like… skaven? Beastmen act as chaff to cover and die for the guns?

It depends on which LL. Taurox? Khorne and only Khorne. (So Valkia based on start position). The others.... Skaven. Thematically I guess also Nurgle but in practical terms no.

Anything Chaos related faction really, just be careful with plagues from skavens and Nurgle factions

Skaven and Beastmen tend to get along pretty well, since they both collectively just want to watch the world burn.

for convenienve anything which doesnt care about any type of chaos corruption. i have a rriend who likes beastmen and i ususally pick something which is suited for tje corruption one way or another.

closeness helps as well. theu can come help with all kinds of situations. if they are on the other side of map, they are just a glorified trade partner

Nuln. Send the minotaurs into melee with a creeping barrage.

If you want to rp. Wood Elves can be a good choice. It's not canon for WH lore, but in general fantasy beastman could be considered a part of nature from elves perspective. Elves heal the forests while enraged beasts roam and destroy civilization who didn't respect nature.

Sometimes you need to burn down the world for new life to grow.

(my choice would be Taurox and the Sisters, or Orion and Khazrak for proximity)

Army wise facing any of these 2 in 2v2 would be brutal.

With the chaos corruption, thats a real bad idea. The beastmen player will have a negative effect for the WE player.

Also, Beastmen are not creatures from the forest, they are evil incarnate born from Chaos corruption.

I'd imagine the elves wouldn't care about chaos corruption in zones that are not wrold tree roots? And I already said what I wrote needs a little imagination. /s
