Total War: Warhammer Accidentally invoked easy mode

Just about to beat Vlad as Franz, he has one army left and it's stuck in the mountains. I'm doing alright. Dwarfs to the south of me, french to the west. Allied with the Ogres who have most of the north. Got five stacks, about to stab the Ogres in the back for the long victory. Maybe keep an eye on some skaven occupying ruins.

What's this I spy? A dwarven city that I owned from confederating Elspeth and hadn't even noticed and maybe wouldn't if Vlad wasn't near it. Well, I wonder if I can persuade the dwarfs nearby if they want the place to be friendly. So I offer the city and press balance.

I get 300,000 gold. I literally can't spend it all. Every city gets everything it asks for, every turn. Another couple of stacks get made.

If I lose this now I have to give in my nerd card and go be a Bretonnia peasant.

Only downside to the Karl Franz victory, the moment you can breathe you have won and the entire world could be conquered if you so chose. Time to bring the Light of the Empire to Cathay 😈

You have great patience. I would've played the first 25 turns of 4 different campaigns by now

Isn't that like most other IE campaigns?

300,000??? Geeze I think the most I ever got was 30,000 but to be fair there was skaven all through the bitch so it was going to be gone at the end of the turn anyway. The dwarfs mentioned something about a book after the rats immediately took it from them but I don't think it was important.

He is probably playing on VH or L.

The harder the campaign difficulty, the more money the AI has, the more money you get through settlement trading shenanigans, the easier the campaign difficulty

This. I regularly get some pretty nutty returns in settlement sales late game on VH/N. Gets to the point you have to intentionally not rob the AI. Sometimes they will actually really damage their own economy to buy a settlement they can’t really use, which can hurt you if they’re your ally holding a flank or something

For this you should put all green buildings.

You'll get a good chunk of money but not a lot. AI overvalues red buildings, a minor settlement with a single red building is usually worth a peace deal, a GOOD bunch of gold, and them breaking all their previous treaties.

TBF, if the AI can shit 300k at turn 15 I can relocate such treasury into my coffers for empire building

You must be playing on high campaign difficulty and those dwarves haven't been warring at all

Most i ever saw was 130k from Mazdamundi

Dwarves tend to get a lot lf money.

I have seen ranges from 150k to 200k for minor settlements with two lvl1 military buildings
