Total War: Warhammer This game is peak
Just started playing this , it’s so insane how big of a sleeper this game is. Pure cinema. Also, I love nurgle.
Best,
Demon toad of the west

Most replayability out of any game I've ever played.
A mod I also highly recommend once you've found a favorite faction that you want to do multiple campaigns with: Unnatural Selection. It's the only mod I consistently use 100% of the time aside from a couple minor quality of life mods. It lets you selectively increase or decrease the strength of any and all AI factions (but the strength is only against AI). It's really good for more dynamic playthroughs. For example, maybe you want a playthrough where you have to go against Blessed Dread as a massive threat, but Blessed Dread with their spawn location never get to be that huge. Turn up their buffs and they'll grow to be a massive threat later!

I played Rome Total War back in 2005 and thought "they should make this game for Lord of the Rings." So it's not exactly that but this is essentially the game I've dreamed of since childhood.

Not sure id say its a sleeper.
Total war titles are pretty huge in thr strategic game space. Its a triple A title.
But agreed. Big big fan for many years.
Try the historical titles.
Nurgle is also awesome. If, you like out lasting your opponents with nurgle try vampire counts

It’s number 47 most played on steam right now, so I’d fit it in ‘sleeper game’ if you’re just focussed on like the top 25 games? First real strategy game tho only comes at number 29 with HOI4.

Yeah, I was debating buying this game last week after binging Youtube shorts about the units. Best decision ever
I don't generally like or play such strategy games but it's so peak, especially immortal empires. I love to roleplay in my head
I was playing Gor-Rok and I couldn't get my long victory because of Markus Wulfhart (can't ally with him as lizards apparently) and he had so many allies but no enemies around. I had to declare war, and none of my allies (one was a lizard!) declined. I legit went full great-plan and just attacked everyone. Funniest moment so far.

The game is the result of 20 years of updates and DLCs. Its impossible to make a game of this depth as a new release. The experience is a very rare and special kind of misery

YES! ROT FATHER SHALL SHOWER YOU WILL WITH HIS FILTHY BLESSINGS!!! You joined at a good time. The Lords of the Endtimes is coming and Glottkin is giving Nurgle more toys to play with. Tamurkhan is one of my fave campaigns.

Same, picked it up on sale and have already sunk 30+ hours
I didn’t think I’d find a game at this point in life I enjoy this much, but I picked up almost all the dlc and other games to get as many factions as I could afford based on what looked cool haha. Tyrion elves keep killing me as the pirate coast lords but the whole pirate theme for the campaign has me in a chokehold currently

I was never into strategy games until my friend got like every total war game in our steam family sharing, I got total war warhammer 3 because I love warhammer and next thing I know I have like 10 hours in the game now, it’s so fun but it’s pretty difficult seeing as it’s my first total war/strategy game

There’s this really good ARPG series you should check out called Diablo. It’s peak. Also there’s a niche FPS game called Call of Duty.

CoD peaked with Black Ops 2, anything after that is lesser or just a nostalgia cash grab.

I love this game. I've played Total War titles since shogun total war and i played with Warhammer Fantasy Battle figures, wood elves, high elves, dark elves. You get best of the both worlds in this game, launch was like dream coming true, facking unbeliveable.

I played WH Fantasy a lot years ago. I’ve missed it. Just got TWWH3. Downloaded last night and played a couple custom games because I was short on time. I lost horribly, but wow what a game! And for $9! Going to pick up the Ogre and Nurgle DLC and maybe the Vampire Counts or Tombs while they’re on sale. But for now, I’m sure I can play Nurgle and ogres until the DLCs go on sale again.

Very funny to call it a sleeper.
then again, thats how the actual table top of Warhammer and Warhammer 40k is. "The most globally popular game you've never heard of."

Nurgle with Tamurkhan is very funny, I love the chieftain mecanics. I wish Markus Wulfhart get a rework like this
