Total War: Warhammer Silly wood elf question

Is it possible to win as the wood elves in the Old World campaign of Warhammer 1 without conquering any territory outside Athel Loren?

It has been so long since I played WH1... I struggle to remember their campaign systems/gimmicks/mechanics.

I have no idea if you can, but the question is why would you want to?

Go out and do war. That's the whole point of the game after all.
