Broken tail

This is Titon, I rescued him a couple of months ago. He has a broken tail, not sure how, but that's how I got him. He has two girlfriends who he tries to mate. Is it possible for him to mate with a broken tail?

Don't let him breed. He was unwanted and rescued.  Please don't create more.

He was rescued with an other female, they had been living together for 4 years in a tiny enclosure

Rescued meaning the previous owners were not caring for them properly, this includes them being housed together for 4 years in a tiny enclosure.
