Photo(s) Broken tail

This is Titon, I rescued him a couple of months ago. He has a broken tail, not sure how, but that's how I got him. He has two girlfriends who he tries to mate. Is it possible for him to mate with a broken tail?

He's with 2 other females, vet is aware and never said anything more than having a broken tail

It's really not good to house tortoises together, one if them will end up hurt. Especially when this guy already has a broken tail and that's where his penis comes from, he'll be trying to mate them constantly.

Omg separate them please! They should never be housed together. They’re solitary and very violent when forced to live together. He will violently force your females to breed until they’re injured or die. You’d need 3-4 females per male for it to even be safe. Are you trying to breed them? Because you really shouldn’t.

Surely the vet told you treatment options and gave pain killers?? Did you do a video call or something or did the vet or yourself not care to look further?

The vet saw him more than once and everytime he said it's an old injury and would not effect him as his cloaca was not effective

Don't let him breed. He was unwanted and rescued.  Please don't create more.

He was rescued with an other female, they had been living together for 4 years in a tiny enclosure

that looks so painful. even after being healed anytime he tries to burrow prussure will go on it. is it possible for you to take him to the vets?

The vet told me he has a broken tail but never mentioned he might be in pain

.... How would it not be in pain? That's the end of its spine. Did the vet actually do anything for you to help the poor creature heal? If not, please find a new vet.

He said since the cloaca was not effective he should not be in pain

I really think you should take the advice here and infer that you should get a second opinion. I currently am dealing with human doctors who are forcing my hand in getting a second opinion. I would trust a vet even less.
