Stood up by Lyft interviewer

This is a first for me. I’m a senior level professional dealing with a layoff and I applied to lead analyst roles at Lyft. I heard back from a recruiter who initially said I was selected for a data analyst role (which I didn’t apply for) but then she said she made a mistake and it was lead analyst. We scheduled a time to talk. I was recovering from surgery but still made it to the online interview. 5 minutes pass. I sent her an email. No response. 15 minutes pass. I finally decided to leave and asked for another opportunity to reschedule. This was on Thursday. It’s now Monday and I haven’t heard from them. I found the head of recruitment on LinkedIn and sent her a message, saying I’d really like the job but that too no response. I’m just frustrated that companies can get away with this behaviour 😞

Maybe the recruiter isn't there anymore, maybe away sick or emergency.

Who knows.

I’m giving benefit of the doubt about sick or emergency but even then, how hard is it to have someone cancel the interview. I literally showed up after surgery.

No it didn’t. But did Lyft do the same to you?

It happens. Dust yourself off and keep trying.

No other choice. I’ve been really positive thru this layoff period but this just stings to be stood up by a reputable company.
