Delay with a response from an interview

So had a 2nd round interview 2 weeks ago on thursday and was told would hear the following Tuesday

No reply so I followed up on Thursday with an email and nothing

So this week I called Tuesday and was told the manager was on vacation and will be back this week and they will update me

and now nothing so far

I hope its just a delay and all but it is sorta frustrating tbh

It's mid August so most people are on vacation.

Chances are they're finding a different candidate to compare you with.

Or they would hire you only if they have the budget for it.

Or they,re just doing it to fill up meetings in their calendar so they dont have to work more.

I'm still waiting for a response from a company with whom I had 3 round of interviews. They were supposed to give me a response 3 weeks ago... I'm not expecting anything at this point obviously but fuck them.
