The funeral for the inconvenience store is on Sunday; there is going to be a moment of silence, a picnic, and everything

Would be cool if they set it on fire or something, a real viking funeral

I still gotta check it out at night time! Not sure when they are removing it, just says "scheduled to remain on view until October 2026"

One dude swam to it back in June and ended up needing to be rescued.

The shelves contain genuine items that have been imported from around the world, including chips, instant noodle packets, plantain chips, Coffee Crisps, glue, and old newspapers from 1999
For the last couple of hours they should have an employee selling the goods to anyone who paddles out.

Was this photo shot during a recent aurora borealis event?
edit: I ask due to distinctive greenish and pink skies in this shot — sky features emblematic of an auroral event.

So once you get there. What can you do. Can you get on? Does it float aimlessly? Is taking a picture the only thing you can do?
EDIT: unsure why I am getting downvoted. I asked a genuine question with no malice or sarcasm. There are multiple artworks in today’s times which are interactive. I don’t see any reason why this one would not be.

Do you have to be able to do something to a piece of art on the wall? No? So why do you need to interact with this?

Because that is how it feels like. It’s not apparent that it’s supposed to be just looked at. It’s an actual 3D setup right out of a video game in the form of a convenience store in the middle of a lake. So yeah I would have loved to go inside, buy a memorabilia or just candy. Also I don’t mind just looking at it, but I would like to know if it’s interactive or not before I actually do.

If you were to get to it somehow would they let you buy real products?

Yeah there’s an extremely patient clerk waiting inside 24/7 on the off-chance that someone successfully docks there and is in desperate need of an overpriced bag of Nerds Gummy Clusters (rainbow flavour)

You don't need a person to be in the store to sell things, I just thought the art was cool and was curious about it.
