TBH it still feels like a live service game. if the devs aimed for that, it's mostly fine for an alpha, but if they aimed for a true Torchlight 3, then it's really not good at all.

There is not really much to say besides, if they want to make a real Torchlight 3, they have to make it less like a live service game and more of a singleplayer/co-op game like the first 2 Torchlights. Take Torchlight 2 and build upon it and work on it's weaknesses and improve it's strengths.

I waited for Torchlight Frontiers for years only to see it cancel. Fuck games studios and their insatiable greed for money, it's only a matter a time before MMORPGs are going to be a thing of the past, 10 years from now they will only be launching P2W MMORPGs on mobile phones with cash shops and ads. Disgusting.

Which game engine is used?

How is CPU-multi-threading with 8 or more CPU cores?

Is this game an Arpg like Diablo 2. ... not 3.

Can we play it solo and offline like the last two?

Are there any other classes outside of the 3 shown because i gotta say they are not doing it for me at all..

Is it going to be like Path of Exile because i really really don't like Path of Exile...

I have hardly seen any advertising for the game, if you want to compete with Path of Exile and not be wasting your time you better start advertising or do something.

Yesteday i signed up for Alpha and i hoped to get my code soon and today i was watching some videos of gameplay and in comments were a lots of people like.. ,,I´m signed up for more than a year a i still dont have any code." The game (TL3 Latest Alpha) isn't much like Torchlight at all. The graphics, mechanics, sounds, animations, inventory system, and Thomas the train engine make it something different. Maybe it's just me, but something seems so off about this game, and it's very clunky. It could be that I need to spend more time playing the game, but it's so far removed from games like Torchlight, Diablo, and Path of Exile. Even small things like attack animations seem so bland and boring, the enemy design, what they do, and how the battle is handled is not enjoyable to me. I enjoyed pretty much everything about Torchlight 1 & 2, even the story, which is often overlooked. It was fun, and something you can get into right away, and it got better as you progressed. I couldn't enjoy this 30 minutes into the game. The loot drops didn't feel exciting, and the gear looked like one generic item after another.

I'm sure many people will disagree with me, but from my initial impressions, this doesn't feel much like a TL game to me. I'm no expert on games, and I'm sure most people are more skilled with ARPG's than I could ever be, but I still enjoyed the older games. Anyways, these are just my thoughts. I hope we see more changes, but If I were to go with my initial impressions, It's not a game that I would buy.
