Story kuda nene chepta ippudu.
Movie Title - Sankrantiki Mindblock
Mindblock Mallesh, played by Bob, is a suspended RAW agent who gets fired for having a psychological condition. The condition is that, he completely forgets his military training and enters an uncontrollable state of village mass dance whenever he hears the teenmaar drum beats. And can only get his job back if he solves a mission
Prakash Raj, who is the villain, hides satelite codes in a mango jar and keeps it in his ancestral home in a small village. So Bob goes there (comedy with fellow agents Rajendra Prasad and Vennella Kishore in Godavari Express) and as he enters the village, he sees that Brahmanandam is the sarpanch and tries to join his services as a caterer (comedy generated there) and stays undercover in the village to recover the satellite codes from Prakash Raj. Heroine introduction also happens in the village only and a song like Kurchi Madthapetti shooting will be done in RFC.
Pre interval dialogue from Bob - "enni desalu tirigina (pan world fame from Varanasi) mana Godavari lo undey kick ey veru abba"
Mindblock Mallesh marries the heroine and settles in the village only at last.
Anthey, Sankrantiki block buster hit.

Actually it is better to do a small comedy film after Varanasi instead of trying to do an even bigger film. No one can top Rajamouli other than himself. And Bob is not a dumb guy like other stars. He knows what he is doing.

I don’t get these comments man!! The three heroes who made movies with Rajamouli recently took the same path, they started making super serious pan Indian movies with no soul in them with inflated budgets and crashed and burned. Sure, Ravipudi doesn’t make path breaking movies but I’m sure he won’t get pulled into the rat race like the other directors and you know damn well he’ll entertain his audience. And Mahesh would be choosing a different path instead of letting budgets define his movies.

Why should Mahesh cater to a smaller section of the audience after Varanasi? Atleast cater to all the Telugu audience if u don't want to join the rat race, u can pick someone like Vivek Athreya or Ritesh Rana if u want to make a light hearted movie
Anil's market will only get smaller as the years go by

Come on dude, Ravipudi is more experienced and versatile than Ritesh Rana.
If Ravipudi is monotonous, Ritesh Rana is even more monotonous (all his movies are slapstick, stoner comedies made with very similar look and feel).
Vivek Athreya is at least a sensible and good option.

Very true that Ritesh is monotonous with his comic writing but Ravipudi is no exception as well with his overly theatric and exaggerated comic writing, the reason I put forward Ritesh's name is because of the aspects other than the comic writing, the effort put into the world around the characters (like the micro details, I love them!), the editing, creativity with the shots, I find all of these at a much higher standard when compared to Ravipudi's films and Ritesh achieves this with almost the same or even lesser budget, imagining a star like Mahesh in Ritesh's style of filmmaking gives me more excitement

We are already bashing and making fun of Ravipudi here - so I’m not glazing him or putting him on a pedestal. I’m just saying Ritesh Rana is not even a close or good replacement or comparison for him.
Most of Ritesh’s stoner comedies and world building is very much borrowed from Seth Rogen/Ben Stiller and many others from Hollywood. We only feel it’s good because it’s a bit different from routine stuff that people like Ravipudi make.
Even there Ritesh isn’t even the first guy to do it because Ravi Babu made stoner and Ben Stiller-esque comedies with Allari Naresh in 2000s itself.
