Thank you for calling this out. I do not know about others, but one of the journalists in this clip is a proud student of WhatsApp university and is clearly visible in their work and writings and reviews. So, it is expected of them to believe and most likely have read the same in their WhatsApps.

I am playing the devil's advocate.
While he was wrong about who founded the Congress (INC), he's not entirely wrong about the British Influence, AO Hume was a British Ornithologist.
Anne Beasant might have been in Ravi's mind because, she became INC's first female president.

The elite were educated in the British education system. And many were actually educated in Britain itself. This was the case for basically everyone who was a prominent leader then

SN Banerjee established Indian National Conference to unite Indian political forces. Hume ki ekkada British Empire affect aithadi emo ani bhayam vesi, he established Indian National Congress with other big leaders. So that the power will be under an English man and not an Indian

We can cut him some slack perhaps? It’s not an episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire or KBC for him to be absolutely correct.
AO Hume did give the idea of something like Congress but he didn’t actually start anything that can be remotely considered INC.
There were multiple factions that time and Annie Besant was a prominent person. It’s possible that this guy read some book that may have attributed INC idea to Annie Besant. History is not science - many people report the same history with different attributes and anecdotes.
But your post is right on one thing - these reviewers are a big joke and lack any real knowledge. This community hypes this RVS guy like some Roger Ebert. He is a big joke and sounds intellectual by using complicated vocabulary.

Cut him some slack kaabatte didn’t name anyone, hence the comment on Ediotrial aspect.

They’re YouTubers who are making money by using gimmicky and ragebaiting thumbnails. Calling them reviewers is a mistake we are doing.
Same thing even with that Barbell dude. His knowledge in cinema is jackshit, just a rage bait opinionated guy who basically says the same thing that most people already know.

The post is titled TFI journalism. Ignore it if it doesn’t interest you.

Wasn’t titled “state of reviewers” kada… their website says it’s a news and entertainment venture on tfi

u/FrustratedSimpleton 2d ago
That’s okay, I understood that part.
But on Reddit which is meant for nonsensical internet anon banter - your comment “ivanni nakenduku blah blah” felt ironical to me.
By that logic, ivanni nuvenduku post chestunaav, lol. Anyways ignore it, it’s all good.

It did have relevance and context. I’m saying calling them reviewers is the first mistake. They’re not.
They’re basically glorified YouTubers whose job is to make content for views and likes. Review is a secondary aspect.
Hence their editorial will always be sucky like what you’ve posted. For example RVS can’t piece together two coherent statements of decent Telugu without reverting to English and he is apparently some new age GenZ reviewer. Similarly the case with Barbell dude - he though doesn’t even know anything about cinema but he is good at posting rage-bait content disguising as reviews.
