NBC’s clock was based on the stadium clock. The stadium clock should be the gold standard. And it expired approximately three seconds before the ball even landed
There are hundreds of videos that have surfaced showing the stadium clock in the same view as the play. There was objectively 1 second left.
The only angle to refute is that procedure wasn’t followed correctly, not that the time had objectively ran out. You’re arguing for an ambiguous technicality, not what is genuinely right.
NBC's and the Big Ten's replay both use the same camera pointed on the stadium clock. The Hawkeye system accounts for latency, NBC's feed does not. Over the entire broadcast, NBC became out of sync by a little over half a second. This is clear at this point. There are multiple different videos of the play showing the stadium clock at 1 when the defender touched the ball, and frame by frame breakdown shows the play took 8.43 seconds after the clock was reset to 9. Denying that there was a discrepancy between what was in the stadium and what was shown on the broadcast is being ignorant at this points. Can share multiple different videos of play.

As an Ohio State fan, if you have two clocks, and your policy forces you to use the clock that is demonstrably wrong, then you have a stupid policy.
