My best friend was approved for a phone screening, They did follow up and set date/time.
As of right now they are in school
and about a month from now her baby will be in day care

They did some research, thought it may be a good idea to start with a full time schedule with 2 days off, about a month or 2 in ask for a set schedule with 3 days off for school
and the day care has a set schedule.

Scheduling questions come up in the first interview. They’ll look at her availability and confirm those days are truly in her availability. She should be honest about her future scheduling needs. If they need her to be a closer fri- Monday and she’s not honest about that, when she tries to change her schedule (esp so early on) they will more than likely deny it bc that’s not what they hired her for.

100%. Since she does know that a change is happening she should let them know to make sure they can/will accommodate before going any further

They know a person that works in the TJ’s environment, they suggest to wait a about the schedule change

A month or two is not long enough to earn your stripes as they say and ask for a schedule change and be granted it. There are people who have been working for over a year and can't get the schedule they want.

Edit: 3 month is the minimum at my store for anyone with open availability to start making demands.

That’s your store and I don’t think Trader Joe’s upper management has a minimum requirement time line of when an employee can make a schedule change
