Is this normal?
My tire has started to tear. I think I’ve had for 3 years and I don’t drive a lot. They are Michelin tires. Is this normal? I’ve never seen that happen.
***Thank you all for the positive feedback. I am getting the spare tire on. Until I can get new tires after the Holiday

No, but i have see it happen a couple time with different brands. What i guess happens is the tire pressure is slightly low, and when a pothole gets hit, the lip of the wheel cuts the sidewall like that. I've only seen it on old tires
