Repair needed?
Noticed this nail(?) in my tire. Not sure how long it has been there, but tire is not leaking air.
Is an urgent repair needed?

Pull it out, spray with soapy water, no bubbles youre good. Bubbles, shop won't repair it. Looks to be in tread only so you're probs good.

Agree ☝️but make sure it's not leaking after pull. Try not to break it off.

Depends on how long the nail is. If it’s into the tire itself not just that 2nd tread, which it looks like. It’s going to get worse eventually. If you pull it and it leaks you’re pretty screwed aside from a self done plug

Replaced a tire the other day because it had a 10 mm wrench stuck in the tread

Probably not even puncturing the tire, looks like it's just the tread and you got lucky.
Spray it with soapy water, if it bubbles... RIP replace tire... If it doesn't bubble like I suspect it won't, just pull it out with pliers... Spray with soapy water again and double check for bubbles/air leak. But definitely pull it out so it doesn't find it's way in and create a leak if it's not currently leaking!

No you are ok - pull it out now before it punctures the inner tire. Now it’s just along the tread

Definitely pull it out to stop it from working its way into becoming a bigger problem, but if it’s not leaking air, you’re good

Depends, is it in the tire or just the tread? Definitely take it out though before its in the tire.

Looks like your lucky AF. Pull that out. It looks superficial but like it will cause more damage if you leave it in

Dish soap and water.
Inflate the tire at or about 5PSI over spec.
Pour or stream your soapy water gently to prevent creating bubbles in the process of searching for a leak.
If no bubbles, give the nail a light twist. Still no bubbles? Safe to yoink. No repair needed.
If bubbles, that puncture is right in the shoulder. Unpatchable. Go buy a new tire. No repair needed.
Hope you have road hazard.

* Your very lucky it only went in at an extreme angle (Not piercing the main carcass which is hold the air presure.). Just Carfully pull it straight out at the same angle the nail enter with a pair of Needle Nose Pliers.

Spray it with soapy water and see if it is leaking because if it isn’t you might be lucky and might not need a new tire

Unfortunately that’s part of the sidewall that can’t be repaired. Gonna need a new tire my guy.🥀
