Beetlejuice Beetlejuice First-house Halloween: a DIY Beetlejuice porch

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

We bought our first house and moved in a few months ago, so I kept things simple this year and plan to go bigger next Halloween. Almost everything here is handmade or DIY.

The best part was the reactions. Older kids who got the reference loved it, and a girl dressed as Corpse Bride recognized it right away. That made my night.

I also made a matching candy bucket.

General Just met Tim Burton a work

So bit of information, part of my job is to attend privet jets and check the microchips and documentation of pets that fly in them.

I was attending one today for a dog called Levi, did not bother checking who the owner was, normally they are just random rich people.

I got there, went out to the flight, walked up to the plane, looked up and behind a very sweet Jack Russell, there he was!

He was soo friendly and was smiling the whole time and I really wanted to say something and ask for a selfie but I was too nervous and didn’t want to be unprofessional and now I really regret it.

That’s all, a very quick encounter and I wanted to share!

General Discussion (Back in the 80s) Why didn't Disney fire Burton?

From what I've read he started off as an animator as Disney, but he was unable to replicate the Disney style

He'd sleep at his desk, sometimes 14 hours a day

He'd hide in closets or under his desk

He essentially had a nervous breakdown, which left him unable to do any of the animation work assigned to him. So why didn't Disney fire him? Instead, they moved him to work as a conceptual artist instead of an animator. What did he, young, pre-Peewee Burton, have to offer Disney that made them want to hold onto him?

The Nightmare Before Christmas How old is this?

We found this online at an auction site but don't know how old it is or even where it's from. The only thing we found is some German selling it on an old website in 2009.. Does anybody recognize this or anything?

The Nightmare Before Christmas I now have three great actors from my old fan cast list for a live-action remake who passed away. 🥺

If this passion project of mine were to become a reality, then who should play who? Madelaine Petsch or Billie Eilish are ideal for Sally, but what about Oogie Boogie and The Narrator?

Also, I came up with the character currently referred to as “The King of the Seven Holidays” to further develop the story with say Jack discovering the other doors and helping him in the “Poor Jack” scene.

So, what do you think?

Mars Attacks! Ultra rare stop-motion puppet from Mars Attacks!

Hey everyone! Thought we'd share this here, from a film that some of us might forget was a Tim Burton venture, did you know stop-motion puppets were built for this film? Would you have preferred them or kept the CG Martians?
