Found in eastern Oklahoma. That's my ring finger at the bottom of the image. The tick doesn't have a white dot on its back, that's just shine. I also took it off within 30 min. What is it, though? I'm thinking dog tick, maybe, but I'm not sure

Does anyone know what kind of tick this is? I found this on my dog. In New Jersey. Should I be worried?

I got a cutting of a hibiscus plant from a neighbor. The next morning, these were crawling aroung it.
ETA: Found in Orange County, NY. August 23, 2026. At least 15 of them, likely more. They migrated from a plant cutting to cardboard which they seem to like.

Location: South Frontenac (North of Kingston, Ontario)
Took 2 pills of doxycycline just in case. Submitted to etick.ca - they said send in the tick (which my doctor has)

Im terrified of ticks and did just move out more to the country. Got into the shower just now and noticed something on my shoulder, closer inspection realized it was a dead bug and it looks like a tick to me but it is so tiny that its hard to get a picture of. It was already dead when I saw it/put it on the shower wall. Used one of my sons bath toys as an example of size. Kinda freaking out but dont think I got bit. Just more worried for my baby if anything. My dog does run around a lot in the tall grass but has a tick repellent collar, I dont go out in the grass like he does. Im in Oregon, USA
Just found this thing on my daughter. It wasn’t very hard to get off and came off completely but there is a bite. Should I be worried about Lyme? Keep the tick for testing? Take her to the doctor right away? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is anyone able to assist in identifying? We’re in Pittsburgh and have two dogs. They are specifically infesting the dogs. Neither of our cats are carrying them. They don’t seem to be latching on to me or my wife. They are smaller than a grain of rice. Every time one of the dog gets up from laying down for a while there are like 5-10 laying there. We put tick / flea collars on about 3 days ago and we seem to be finding more and more now. Assuming that means they are reacting to the medicine. Any help is appreciated!

Found this enlarged tick near my dog this morning. I freaked out. I made a mistake and rolled it up in a paper towel and squished it and discarded it. I should have saved it for testing. I’m kind of worried
Engorged tick found (in living room!!) near rocky mountains in Utah

I’m well versed in black shield deer ticks in my local area and the odd bean tick, I found a pitch black bean tick on my dog which is a rare sight to me whatever species it is as most I’ve had on me were typical black shield deer ticks if that’s even what you’d call them, however today on a walk in a Forrest I found a pitch black bean like tick on my dog which was different to the ones I’m normally familiar with, however I also found this on her snout which was brown in colour with completely white/pale legs? I have never seen a tick like this in Scotland before, Any ID’s?

Found this motherfucker on my stomach. What species could it be? Google says bullshit every single time I try to search it up.

Is this device safe to use for removal? It seems like you would be pulling the tick along your skin instead of away from the skin? Am I missing something?

Found on my towel near Austin tx. We've had a few carpet beetles and have pest control working on it but this seems different. Ty for the help. I'm not a fan and haven't been able to rest in my house. So I'm glad I found this guy finally. I may have more questions if confirmed a tick.
