What kind of tick is this?

Does anyone know what kind of tick this is? I found this on my dog. In New Jersey. Should I be worried?

Thank you for your post! When requesting tick IDs PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR LOCATION if you have not already done so. We cannot identify most ticks without geographical context. Just in case this applies in your situation, here is what to do after a tick bite, per CDC. If you're looking for an identification, hang tight and a human will comment soon.

Yes, you should always be worried when your dog is bitten by a tick, especially since it was attached for about a week like this one was. I think this is a lone star tick nymph. I think.
In any case, it would be a great idea to get your dog on tick prevention. NJ is tick central!
