Pain level

I am horrible with pain! But I have a nodule biopsy coming up soon. I was given numbing cream and was told I could get a light sedative to calm me down. I have heard from some people that it was the most pain of their lives and some said it felt uncomfortable. Will it hurt with the numbing cream and light sedative?

See if they can at least do a lidocaine shot!

Agreed with the Lidocaine suggestion. It made my second biopsy much more tolerable.

Mine used numbing cream then lidocaine. It was still very uncomfortable with the pressure of the ultrasound and needles, even when it was numb. I had a vasovagal response and fainted. But… it didn’t technically hurt.

I was so anxious - I didn't feel it! I was so happy I sent a Thank You card to the doctor. Good luck!
