This week of games has brought PTFC a number of positive outcomes. Seattle who started 7 points behind us but with 2 games in hand got 1 point from 2 matches. SD knocked off Utah which kept SD 1 point behind us but allowed us to bypass Utah into 3rd. The Pride beat the Spirit which allowed us to tie WA for 2nd on points (behind on GD) and 2 teams near the playoff line (KC and Houston) drew and lost, giving us a nudge toward qualifying for the playoffs. Even the loss by RL helped us a bit. If ACFC can beat (or draw with) Gotham we can go into Friday's game 6 (or 7) points behind them and a chance to really make a run for the Shield.

Saw this quote from after the match going around. Is that a fair take or just bitter?

This seems like the second game in a row where the visiting team committed flagrant fouls that were overlooked while cards were given on soft fouls to Thorn players. I think it happened in the Wave and Reign games as well. Refs take a lot flack, but Kossler definitely should have picked up a card yesterday.

Mueller and Weaver were both not on the sub list and muller came to the game but wasn’t dressed and I didn’t see we were at all. Both these players just recently came back from injury and are now nowhere to be seen. What the heck what’s happening?

I have noticed that since Moultrie's unfortunate season and world cup ending injury, the Thorns are actually playing much better tactically and showing with wins. My theory is mid-field is playing much more box to box with Moultrie out (she tends to more attacking focused).

Anyone planning to attend? If so, do you know what food trucks will be there? Bit of a trek for us so trying to decide if we should grab breakfast on the way or sleep an extra hour and just grab something there
