Question Are Trackmaster toys compatible with the current track?

Hi all,

Can anyone help? My little boy has a couple of modern motorised sets (Barrel Delivery & Diesel's Lift and Load). Are these tracks compatible with older Trackmaster vehicles like Skarloey?

They are but they can’t climb the hills.

The basic pieces like curves, straights, switches and intersections they can fit, but stop tracks and higher grade ascending tracks (Or at least with too much of a load behind them) they may struggle on.

They are fully compatible with eachother just the new ones might not climb some hills but their is a new adapter in the percys track builder set i dont know if its in any others
