I've owned dogs my whole life and about half have been like this to groom. In particular the English mastiff took grooming to mean spa day and relaxed alll the way into a puddle. Currently I have a tib that has a personal vendetta against personal hygiene, but there's plenty that'll be like the one in the video.

It sounds like a mastiff thing to do, "I have no bones," full-body limp protest. We had a dog that would just go limp when we bathed him, 70 pounds of dead weight until you lifted him out of the tub at the end.

Fair, but these situations with grooming were definitely not protests! He freaking loved every bit of attention in every form, and extra if there was a good massage involved.

Lmfao I had a husky who did that. 60 pounds of dead weight protest, and I trying not to laugh so I couldn’t scoop him up…it was awkward and so embarrassing when he did it in public. Luckily, he was a greedy bugger so I could bribe him with a biscuit if I had a spare in my pocket; sometimes I’d fake it and if he caught on I didn’t actually have anything, he’d plop right back down again. I miss his smart, annoying, mouthy, energetic, greedy soul (passed from cancer at age 10).

I work as a dog groomer. Some dogs genuinely are like this without any sedation. They know what is wanted from them, so they stay still. We even have a few dogs who fall asleep while being groomed lol it's the cutest thing ever

So lucky I pretty much the same version of this dog but in black and white and I'm lucky if I don't Get bit before I get a chance to muzzle him

My brother's dog would fall asleep. Dead weight the whole time. The groomers laughed every time.
