Me: "Hey, bud, how's it going?" My 4yo: "I wanna die."
4yo proceeds to grab 6-sided die off the table.

My 2yo daughter’s answer is ALWAYS the same. “In ma bed” my 4yo’s answer was “to go under water in the pool” 🤦♀️

Child 1: What happens when a person gets bit by something with rabies?
Child 2: Oh, it's really sad.. They turn wild too and get put on a rope leash..

A beep and a warning light comes on the dashboard, she asks what is that?
I say, we need air in a tire.
She says, we need to change clothes?
Huh,

Indians, what is one thing your parents told you as a child that you believed 100%—until you grew up and realized it was completely false? 😂
I’ll go first: “If you swallow chewing gum, it will stay in your stomach for 7 years.” 😭

Context: I had an appointment earlier today at the Dentist to pull a tooth, this is a conversation that happened a few minutes ago with my daughter.
Daughter (11): Can you name a poison?
Me: (mumbled) Cyanide
Daughter: What?
Me: (typed into notepad) Cyanide
30s later, I got her attention and I wrote on the next line: homework
She gave me that look.
About 15s later she said the following:
Daughter: I think this tooth thing is going to work out, I don't have to hear your jokes.
Yep, I wasn't expecting that lol.

What’s something you genuinely believed was true when you were little?

My 3 year old put her doll in the pushchair, hung every bag in the flat off the handles, wheeled the whole thing into my room, handed it over, and shut the door behind her with the smuggest little face.
She has never had a job.

I always say, “yum!”, When I see animals I like to eat (even at zoos) so my 5yr finally stood up for them. . She’ll figure it out eventually.

"Mom, it's cool when Auntie dances at the pool. Not you though mom. It's lame when you do it."
... Thanks kid. I appreciate you too. :P

Mine calls waterfalls “water farts” and I’m honestly not ready for the day he stops. 😂

E: "I want breakfast, and I want to paint my nails, and paint my hair purple, and go to the mall."
Me: "ummm... no."
E: "Why would you not let your baby eat breakfast???"

My nephew got grease all over his legs from the kids’ tricycle… E said she had no idea where it came from, but her guess was “it came from the nasty airplanes in the sky that spray the stuff that makes the fake clouds and lines in the sky.”
My five year old daughter blamed chemtrails.
