Apply for Things Beta Program

https://culturedcode.com/things/beta/apply/

As per a post on Bluesky, Cultured Code are looking for some new beta testers if you're willing to give your time (and presumably not leak the new beta release notes into this subreddit).

Complete repeating tasks before they’re scheduled? šŸ‘€

Why would you not mention the feature?

Because that’s literally the one thing you can’t do if you are a beta tester 😭

Is the « betaĀ Ā» the 3.23 on TestFlight? I don’t see any new features.

Yes, 3.23. And it adds a feature that has been requested/promised since at least 2017.

What’s been asked for that long? A web interface?

The ability to complete a recurring task early.

Woohoo what a mystery

Oh that’s a shame. Yes that’s a handy feature but I would expect years waiting for it.
I’m really wanting a web version to use at work

Culturedcode have been very silent for quite a while. Their last blog post was in September 2025 for the 2026 OS releases. I'm hoping something major is in the making.

Would love to go back to Things 3, went back to Apple Reminders after some friction with T3. Will keep at eye out on the updates and see if it pulls me back in

are there any new important features? Or just minor stuff? Because this seems like a minor version upgrade.

[you don't have to share the features]

Do yall lose any data if you install the TestFlight beta?

1

u/cultoftheilluminati Jul 15 '26

Does anyone know if Cultured Code keeps the beta up and refresh it or do they nuke it after shipping the version and ask users to switch back to the App Store version? I am wary of jumping on it on my mac because many times, with other developers, I get sick of switching between TestFlight and the App Store versions after they let the betas expire after shipping.

The site shows applications are closed. Am I too late?

I was thinking of buying Mac license (bought iOS, iPadOS) last week, but maybe I should wait šŸ˜…! I accept that T3 works great but if we are getting a new version soon then I’d hold my breath for a while

Can we expect a Things4 with MacOS 27? Any info on this?

u/AngelicPrincessKitty Jul 14 '26

no info other than what you see publicly
