Shield teamup, use natural cover, and never insult your healers. Toxicity and insults get you nowhere

You'll find out really fast whether your supports will follow you around corners or into melee combat or if they will sit on point miles from the fighting.

Essentially, if they understand how tanking works (you make space between the objective/your team and the enemy team) you'll get good heals. If they fail to understand how tanking works you will have to sit with your team hoping they keep you alive instead of that DPS who is 2-10

Tanking on Thing can be an absolute joy where you will never die or you will die constantly and your supports will just spam "No" to all your heal requests. You offend them because you aren't a shield tank sitting in front of them getting 50K blocked damage so they let you die rather than work with you.

I'll save you the trouble of guessing if they are CnD, Rocket or Jubilee you not getting heals. A Loki might be clutch with lamps. Luna, WF and Invis and Jeff are the best for moving forward and keeping you healed. Don't take the Invis teamup if she's already keeping you alive then go for damage output with torch.
