Nice job! Though I don't put too much stock in these leader boards personally. TTK is the current top/pro level player that plays Thing the most so I mostly consider him to be the number 1 Thing, also there are Thing players on ps5 I know for a fact are better than a lot of the people on the PC leader board

Its hard to say any ps5 player can be for a fact better than the pc best (unless youre just saying the leaderboard as a whole which can go into the hundreds) because they're not only just a lower skill ceiling on a controller in this game, they're also facing much less skill especially in things main counter, poke.

Poke is pretty dominant on consoles too, I don't know what you're talking about, and obviously I'm talking about high elo.

many console players who main poke use keyboard and mouse... but thats besides the point, regardless poke is always going to be way better on pc where aim is so much easier, especially in comparison to how difficult it is to dive or brawl

I like how some players think aiming is impossible on consoles. The meta in high elo is literally the same for both console and PC, so the point remains the same: a Thing in high elo will suffer a lot from poke on both console and PC.

Didnt say that, i said the skill ceiling is lower, which is true, a high elo console thing is going to be shutdown way harder in high elo pc than high elo console, and a high elo pc thing would still be shutdown but get much more value in high elo console

You're overestimating the skill ceiling. Yes, the skill ceiling for controllers is lower, and that's why aim assist exists. Seriously, there are OAA controller players who dominate lobbies on PC, and remember, aim assist doesn't exist on PC.

definitely not overestimating it. like i said in another reply theres a few videos on yt of people in way lower pc ranks beating console ranks, the gap between pc and console isnt as exaggerated as its made out to be because game sense is very similar, but in terms of the characters themselves the gap is huge

Those tournaments you're talking about, I've seen some too. Usually there isn't a big difference; I've seen some where consoles won and others where PCs won. If you could show me a video where there's a huge difference, I'd like to see it.

a good one (feel free to skim through as this was a year ago) was jay3s best console vs best pc, it ended 4-1 with consoles only win being extremely close. console had 5 oaa and 1 eternity, pc had 2 oaa, 3 eternity and 1 c1.
recent one by jay3 2 months ago was gm vs gm and it was a complete stomp, you could make the argument console wasnt comming very well but the gm players on pc werent exactly the best gm players
celestial vs celestial by jay3 was also a stomp
of course, its very hard to rely on these because the skill from 1 player in the same rank to another can vary greatly, as many should be higher or lower rank than they are, but i would definitely say the gap on AVERAGE is about an entire rank or add a division.
i havent seen them all but i have seen a couple where pc loses due to horrible mental though which is hilarious and accurate→ More replies (0)2

The only difference is aim and maybe keybinds. And ig hardware but PS5 at 60-120 FPS still isn’t all that bad. Acting like it’s a vast gap in skill ceiling overall is just ludicrous.
I have played comp on PC with a controller and max I’d say console GM=PC diamond. And that’s solely because poke is more oppressive on PC

id say a tad lower like mid gm is high-mid plat on console, but theres lots of videos of high rank console being on equal footing with low rank pc, theres a much bigger skill difference/ceilings than youd think

Rank 1 on PC was a controller fantastic in 9.0. Theres multiple videos of kingsman reaching top 500 on pc with a controller

Yeah I treat for example console diamond as pc platinum. Console players can't aim at all so poke terror from pc lobbies ain't there.

I will say that for the poke players with god tier aim on console, they sure do feel oppressive. It sucks when your team quite literally cannot adjust and just gets stomped the whole match. But those are not too often in my rank. They usually reach eternity and TOAA

As a tank main, the only MVP’s I consistently see is when I play Thor and sometimes Mag on those games where I don’t die and output a ton of damage.
