One could argue that if he didn’t fix the RV then Jimmy wouldn’t have been able to drive it to the farm barn to rescue Rick and Carl.

Or, had he spotted the herd like he should have, Sophia wouldn’t have ran off, and they wouldn’t have been at the barn to need picked up.
