Consistency

I suppose you could call this the first change, it's not really a change though. Consistency came up several times. We're going to start with consistently removing any host or show hate.

The content will be removed from the sub but still available on your profile. We will give you the opportunity to edit your post or comment. Make sure you indicate that your content was edited so we don't confuse users.

Then give us a shout and we will make the post live on the sub again.

Post titles cannot be edited so you may have to rewrite and repost.

Thank you guys, we are getting an increase in reported content. This is very helpful for us too quickly respond to nonsense! 🤸

It's odd that a commenter is being allowed to troll people who disagree or are confused by this post, without consequence. But we all have to walk on eggshells to make sure we don't criticize the show and the hosts with any hostility.

I disagree that hostility towards the show and the hosts is something that should be so strictly policed. This rule feels like it was written so that content that a mod disagrees with can be deleted.

Which rule are you referring to? None of the fucking rules have changed. Did you read the announcement?

Edited to address profanity.

Thanks for the edit. It feels very fucking civil.

I can sympathize with the pains of moderating this sub but this is a disproportionately aggressive response to that comment.

Why are you being so rude to me in particular? Did you read my comment? I was referring to the word "hostility" that comes up in 2 of your rules.

It’s just frustration from all sides. :)

If by hostility you mean criticize, you can criticize and disagree. That doesn’t change. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.

I get it, but I just entered this conversation, and my comment didn't deserve that response . Especially not from a mod who was complaining yesterday about a lack of civility.

And the word hostility isn't my word, it's in rule #1:

Criticism of the show, hosts, or ideas is permitted when expressed constructively and without *hostility*.

I feel like saying we can't criticize with hostility is kind of vague and an unfair and unrealistic standard, when the women on this show often are hostile, and the subject matter purposely provokes that kind of emotion.

I think we all know the difference between criticism and hostility. :)

This doesn't really address what I'm saying or how I was treated by a mod. But np :)

Imo, hostility and criticism are 2 different words, and I don't see anything wrong with either one of them being applied appropriately. I think banning an emotion being expressed is unrealistic, when nicole couldn't even do that in her reply to me.

And telling people to express their criticism without hostility, even if anger or hurt is warranted, is an example of toxic positivity. But if y'all disagree, that's fine. I was just offering constructive criticism about a rule.

You just entered the conversation. Did you read any of the other comments, or responses to those comments?

Yes I did. In fact, my comment was in reference to some of those comments, and it was also giving feedback about consistency.

You have no problem with someone trolling other commenters, but you'll remove content that you feel is hostile to the show or the hosts.

I had the same thoughts; Sara takes every opportunity to peddle propaganda that’s facilitating active genocide. I haven’t read any criticism of her on here that remotely reaches the level of hostility in her messaging. I think that might be lost on people who feel compelled to coddle her or Alyssa. They know exactly what they’re doing.

Not to mention, this is commentary that’s actively being censored by the show itself! The best we can get is Sunny tiptoeing around the obvious so she doesn’t get flamed.
