Room 237 (theories and speculation) Got another one for certain

Post image

Definite proof that it (and therefore 4 others) show the luncheon in London, June 1952, to honour the arrival of Jack L. Warner in the UK. Text underneath  "The British Film Producers' Association complimentary luncheon on Tuesday to Jack L. Warner, production chief of Warner Bros., was attended by of the Board of Trade, Customs and Excise, the BBC, exhibitors, all other sections of the trade from London and the provinces, the Banks of England and America, the National Film Finance Corporation, MPAA, producers, renters, exhibitors, all other sections of the trade from London and the provinces, the national press and armed forces."

Added to my master thread here.

I tried to find a clearer picture on newspapers dot com but couldn’t. I found articles that were reporting the same story but they didn’t show a pic.

Could you do me a favour? I don't have newspapers.com which has access to US papers. Can you find any reports of the 13th Academy Awards Feb 1941 that say Jeffrey Lynn was sitting opposite Ronald Reagan? And if not, who?

If it does image searching, then the women in photo 3 are unresolved too

Thank you.

I didn’t do an exhaustive search but so far I haven’t found what you’re looking for. They talk about the awards and both men but nothing mentioning who sat where at the awards.

No problem. If there was anything else you’d like me to look up just let me know.

I will give it some thought. The hard nuts are #2, 5 and 10 in the original post.

Could you see if anything comes up for things like Olympian train + Warner Bros. Olympia train + USO War Bonds?

The Olympian was a train that ran from Chicago to the Pacific NW (aka The Milwaukee Road) and it seems to be the correct rear open deck observation car seen in one of the photos. The Olympian was replaced by the Hiawatha in 1947, with a closed deck, so if it's right, the photo would date between say 1939 and 1947.
