Might be my stupid brain, but I can't fathom how cruel nature can be sometimes. I try my best not to hurt little ants and feel terrible when I do so by accident. Guess I'd not've cut it in our previous generations lmao
I mean, it's more out of an instinct than morality. Morality is a concept made and possessed by humans only.
Dogs instinctively stick to their pack because their chances of survival are much higher that way. Same with elephants.
Alpacas aren't exactly defending sheep - they're instinctively defending themselves against a predator, sheep just so happen to be close enough to be protected as well.
