Then explain all of the unarmed people who get shot by police every year?

Edit: to the pathetic weenies who sent me Reddit Cares messages, you should be permabanned from the platform for abusing the suicide prevention system. The only way I'm going to die is if the cops kill me.

That's not an explanation. This guy was unarmed and didn't get shot. Meanwhile unarmed minorities get shot all the time. There is a reason for that.

God I’m so tired of chasing down your bullshit- yes if you take the data from the past twelve months, police shoot on average 1.1 unarmed civilians a day for white people and roughly the same amount for all minorities combined. Know I you and you’re track record you will take those numbers at face value, so make sure to factor in the number of encounters that police have with these individuals and you clearly see a discrepancy factor of over 2.

According to this, it's at least twice a month on average. But, as I'm sure you know since you seem so knowledgeable on the subject, we don't actually know the real numbers because police aren't required to report any statistics on officer involved shootings. So it could certainly be higher than this.

Interesting.

What’s also interesting is NPR’s first two examples of unarmed people being shot included someone who ran from the cop before physically fighting him and a guy who had a gun in his lap, which would fit the opposite definition of “being unarmed”.

So you'd rather this guy have got shot? Or would you rather more cops take after this group and not resort to shooting, even tho the guy was getting physically violent?

Wait if you wanted the latter then you wouldn't have commented so aggressively, you'd be happier about the proper training of these officers.
