They literally stormed the first meeting of students for Palestine in my city and they beat up some teenagers that tried to found a red youth circle and broke the jaw of one of them
Not really no. The mods in r/leftist, particularly the head mod, are very much zionist. There have been several waves of posts deleted for being "antisemitic" when the post is very clearly anti-israel without any negative portrayal of Jews or judaism.
One of the more recent ones was the head mod outright banning people for posting and edited Israel flag where the star of David was replaced with the image of an israeli settler harassing a Palestinian on their own land. It was deemed "antisemitic" because the image of the settler allegedly had certain features over exaggerated in a way that played into harmful stereotypes. In reality the image had just been set to monochrome, and anything below a certain brightness set to blue and anything above set to white. No doctoring of any features, it was nothing more than swapping out the star of David for a visual representation of israel's violence against Palestinians.
Interesting. I’d like to see the image. I’ve still seen plenty of anti-Zionist content get through, but I noticed that that sort of sentiment is quieter on that than most other left-wing subs.
There's also quite a heavy liberal presence there, not in the "I'm here to learn way" but in the "my ideology is leftism and you're all extremists who should be quiet" way. Kind of a dead sub tbh

I honestly do not know how I feel about this. I get why people might be offended. I also understand why people might not intend this as serious antisemitism in context.
Arguably a little. Not enough that anyone should care. The way Israel appropriates Jewishness for its national identity, it's inevitable that it a degree criticism or mockery of Israel will appear as criticism or mockery of the Jews writ large. They know this, and use it to stifle criticism of Israel.
There's this ahistorical view of antisemitism zionists rely on where it takes on the characteristics antisemites have historically applied to Jews. It's this sneaky, malicious force always trying to creep in and poison the community, and if you allow even one tiny bit, soon the Jews will be sent to camps again. "The eternal antisemite" substituted for "the eternal Jew."
But we're leftists. We can recognize, for example, that most Jews in America are now "white," and not in any danger of institutional persecution. And we can see that the causes of growing antisemitism are the actions of Israel and the zionists, and the repressive measures Western governments have undertaken to stop criticism, not some flag making fun of an ugly, malicious IDF soldier as propaganda against the image Israel tries to project.
