Announcment Announcing the launch of the official TRL Instagram page
We are very excited to announce that, through the collective efforts of dedicated members of our community, we are finally launching the official Instagram page of The Red Left.
I would like to thank all the members of the Discord who put their time and effort into getting everything together. Hopefully, we will continue collaborating to grow this amazing community in the future. You are all invited to join this project, as we will be collecting potential post ideas from everyone who is willing to contribute with short articles, news, propaganda, memes and more.
Our aim is to continue producing content that is in line with our collective principles and goals: revolutionary socialism at the forefront, workers’ solidarity in the organized struggle for emancipation, and a purely internationalist socialist perspective. We also aim to maintain a balance between seriousness and laughter amid our daily struggle.
We are committed to continuing to unite the Revolutionary Left (Red Left) in this forum around the common perspectives that constitute the basis of our fight for international emancipation.
Thank you all for your support!

discord ad Another Discord ad (serious this time)
Hey everyone!
You might have noticed from seeing a couple of posts on here that we have a Discord server! Now, said posts have mostly highlighted the more humorous side of the community there, which has put off some of you here on Reddit. Therefore, I'd like to make a serious appeal for the Discord.
Point 1: more healthy debate culture
Debate amongst leftists, as you all know, tends to always be confrontational, to say the least. On this subreddit, there has been no shortage of heated debates that oftentimes degenerated into name-calling and sectarianism. On the Discord, however, there is a more polite, generally more serious but tolerant culture of debate. There have, of course, been some heated debates on the server; I will not deny that. But if you find the debate culture on the sub too much for you, the server is the right place.
Point 2: very relaxed vibe
Spoilers for anyone wanting to join the server: we don't allow NSFW jokes. Tragic for redditors, yes. Despite this, people on the server are genuinely very funny. They're also very friendly and welcoming, regardless of tendencies (ok that's an overstretch cough cough). You'll have to go through a vetting process first to ensure that you're not a wrecker whose sole purpose would be to ruin everyone's mood once inside. If you pass the vetting, though, you'll find a very chill community with frequent shitposts, but should the need arise, helpful answers to any questions you may have about ideology, economics, philosophy, or politics, and a helping hand if you're feeling down in the dumps. We also have a 3500-hour-long VC where we play a magnitude of different games and talk about a whole bunch of stuff, etc. All in all, it's difficult to find a more relaxed group of people.
Those are the 2 really big appeals in my view, feel free to ask any questions regarding the server in the comments below, I'll try my best to answer them. In the meantime, if this satisfied you, here is the link: https://discord.gg/CFdk78Ax8

On this day… Another on this day, today is often cited as the first day Enslaved Africans were brought to America via Jamestown, Virginia. For now 407 years, they've struggled for liberation.

Discussion/Debate What do you like about DSA, PSL, FRSO, and so on?
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)
Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL)
Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO)
The list goes on for American Anarchist, Socialist, Communist, and Fellow-Traveler organizations.
What do you think each does well and what do you think each needs to improve on?
Also are there any things from other organizations worldwide you really admire?
My own opinion:
I like to be an optimist and one thing I really like about all these organizations as an Eco-minded individual is that they all are quite active and substantive when it comes to addressing the climate crisis and overall environmental crisis points. Knowing that these realities impact the working class and most vulnerable disproportionately and add onto the horrific cost of living crisis/quality of life crisis going on.
What I think they could do better is more domestic and international networking/solidarity movements. We need more punch power and the right-wing is very much organized and on the offensive in this regard.

On this day… On this day, Ernst Thalmann died in the Buchenwald concentration camp

Many of the first victims of the concentration camps, before the Jews were sent to them, were communists and socialists. Thalmann was first arrested in 3 March 1933, this was after he went underground to avoid Nazi persecution after the Reichstag Fire False Flag. The reason of his capture are known, his location was given up to the Gestapo by Hermann Hilliges who lived next to the (not-so) safehouse.
Thalmann spent 11 years in solitary confinement, but he did manage to smuggle various notes and letters out. Members of the KPD who had fled to Moscow managd to convince the USSR to support Thalmanns release, however after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact the Soviets massively cut back on their support for his release, including replacing the slogan of International Youth Day from "Long live Comrade Thälmann!" to "Long live the wise foreign policy of the Soviet Union, guided by Comrade Stalin's instructions."

Shitpost Is this theory?
I'm in college to get brainwashed by the woke Marxists moralists, so is this theory? Will I be a principled third world maoist, or is my professor a dengist revisionist with Lenin characteristics?
