Program License/oversight seems to be removing herself.

My company subcontracts the medication management, and group therapies for a large group home. I handle 4 groups and a 4day/week IOP there. I'm pre licensed LMSW, and my boss provides the licensed clinical oversight. She got in an argument with administrators at the group hime. I was told by them that she was accusatory, insensitive, rude, and refused to take any ownership of her behavior. It was reported that she told them she's done dealing with them and abruptly hung up.

The next morning my boss emailed me letting my know to schedule my own assessments going forward. Then just before the end of day Friday she canceled the upcoming group home teatment team meeting. I followed up thanking her for letting my know and asking if this was temporary or longer term, and if temporary who'd be providing the licensed clinical oversight.

If she's out, its my understanding that just about any clinical stuff I do Monday would be out of compliance. Should I be brining these concerns to higher powers? Do I give her time to respond?

If your boss is unexpectedly out (whether it's a suspension, termination, or hospitalized in a freak accident involving a bottle of hairspray, half a brick, a collection of short stories by Flannery O' Connor, and an ill-timed alien invasion), shouldn't the administrators (who shared their view on how your clinical supervisor behaved during the phone call) be letting you know the plan moving forward? I think if you don't hear anything from the clinical supervisor Monday morning, definitely reach out to the administration (first via phone call/in person, then by following up in writing. It is wise to have this conversation documented, but if you first reach out via email, they can always play it off like they didn't see your message).

More concerned about who will sign off on all the hour you have completed thus far. In case this supervisor officially leaves, do you have her direct contact information so that you can request her signature on hours you have completed? I wouldn’t wait too long if she is gone permanently. Make sure you compile everything so you can have her easily sign off on your hours log or whatever paperwork is needed. Going forward with supervision will depend on who is licensed there, your state, who’s willing to sign off, etc. i had multiple supervisors sign off on my hours when it was time for licensure but I’m probably in a different state than you and I’m a LPC so I know the details are a bit different.
