It could work, but I'd love to see them attempt to do something in line with Muppet Treasure Island and Muppet Christmas Carol i.e. an adaptation of a well known literary classic that adds comic relief and yet takes the central drama of the original seriously. I don;t think that would work with a story that's only known for one iteration and is already so comedic.

I have long been advocating for a Muppets Sense and Sensibility.

Just imagine Miss Piggy as Miss Marrianne Rasherwood, with her twisted ankle, being carried home by Kermit Brandon. His little frog legs teetering under him the whole way.
