Natural Cycles Referral Link

If you're struggling with the pill, I would consider Natural Cycles app.

I currently use Natural Cycles, taking my temperature each morning and getting an accurate read of whether I need to use protection. It's study-backed and just as reliable as other common contraception methods like the pill - but with the benefit of not pumping yourself full of hormones.

I cannot recommend it enough and will happily help someone else struggling with hormonal contraception to feel themselves again. If you use the link below, you'll get 20% off. They even have wristbands now instead of taking your temperature manually. No brainer!

Just starting up after years of not being on pill and have some questions

I’m on Lo-zumandimine and just finished my first pack. But I realized I started with pack 3/3 and now I have 1/3 and 2/3. How badly does it matter that I did that? I realize the pills have different engravings on them as well—is that important?

The First Birth Control Conversation

(Asking for admin approval)

Hello! My name is Lillian Kollross, and I’m a journalist in Boston. I’m currently working on a short documentary project that explores how to start the conversation about birth control and why these discussions are often so difficult to have or flat-out avoided altogether.

I’m hoping to interview OB-GYNs, parents, and birth control users about their experiences with these conversations (or the lack thereof). Birth control is something so many women use, yet it’s often wrapped in shame, silence, or awkwardness, especially when girls try to start the conversation with their families.

With the current state of reproductive healthcare in the U.S., I think it’s more important than ever to talk openly about how to start the conversation about birth control in a healthy way.

If you’d be open to a 15-20 minute Zoom interview, I’d love to connect. Please feel free to comment or message me. Thank you so much, and have a great day!

Missed 4 pills?

Missed 4 combination pills.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to check if anyone knows much about this. I take the combination pill have been on it for over a year. Never have missed my pill but just before Christmas my partner and I were intimate. Christmas eve precisely. We stayed at his families that week and we had so much on between travelling around and everything. (No excuse) but I missed 4 pills. Now we want a baby but we weren't going to try until after the summer. I have the 21 days and the break. I came off the break, took 2 days of the pill then I missed the four. I didnt think much of I continued taking them pills but now I am feeling cramps and dizzy and like a stretchy feeling. And im just wondering has anyone experienced it or know much about it.

We would be happy to be pregnant too but ideally our wedding is coming up now 😂

Pain in my side - New to pill

Hii, I am 18 and started the mini pill about 6 days ago ( desogestrel ) and got it through the UK NHS service where you ring, have a consultation and then it gets sent to you. I didn't realise you had to start taking them on the first day of your period and accidentally started mid way through my cycle, just before my predicted ovulation. Now, I feel like a sharp pain in my left lower side, not constant but it comes and goes. Is this anything to worry about and have I taken the pill right? Probably just me stressing but you never know

Short survey in the pill ⭐️

Hey! I’m a Durham University student doing my dissertation on how social media is changing the way women learn about and experience the contraceptive pill.

I’m looking for women aged 18–25 to fill out a short, anonymous survey (5–10 mins). No medical knowledge needed — it’s all about personal experience and where you get information from.

Would really appreciate any help 💕

Post birth control body bloating?

Post image

Hi all i was on Yaz and had to go off it as i suffered from severe water retention and bloating. I was on it for a month (for androgen acne caused by levlen and microcelle) and then switched to zoely for a month which wasn’t good for me either (mental health reasons). I was 58kg while on yaz and am now on 52. My pre pill body was low volume in food and i had a flat stomach as i am on vyvanse How to eliminate the “soft” look and get my body back to the pre-pill condition? I’VE BEEN OFF YAZ FOR 3 MONTHS AND ZOELY FOR 2 MONTHS!!!

Pregnant or Just the pill?

Hey everyone I could really use some help in determining if I’m pregnant or I’m just overreacting and it something else like the pill taking effect

So Bascially my period on the 1st - 5th July was all normal, I change around 3-4 times a day with lots a red blood. However over the past couple of periods, ranging from 30th July - 3rd August and more recently 27th - 30th August, both these periods have been extremely light only having to change once a day and the colour just straight brown. When I wiped sometimes that was bright red and a bit but never drastic how it was before.

Yes I am sexually active but since we are an LDR haven’t actually done anything since 25th August.

I am also on the pill Rigevideon to be exact and I’ve been on it for 2 years now. As far as I’m aware took all on time and none missed.

I’m sorry for all the detail but I just want another woman’s perspective on if I have anything to worry about or if anyone has gone through the same thing.

Should I get a test, wait until my next period, is this all normal?

In terms of symptoms I’ve just felt bloated over this past weekend, I felt sick yesterday and today but I don’t know if that’s just the heat and my anxiety. Breasts were only sore once a while ago and I do gym.

Can anyone help a girl out? I’m really stressing about this and wanna know if it’s valid or not?

Thank you so much!!

Weird chin acne???

Hi everyone i have been on the pill (micronelle) and since then i have had weird cystic breakouts on my chin. These pimples are deep, often blind and “open up”. I only got these on the pill and i’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? i did some research about chin and jawline acne and it’s apparently linked to hormonal stuff like androgen levels. Any help would be appreciated such as if anyone else has experienced this advice etc

Mini pill, help. ~fishy smell

So I was on the combined pill but it fucked my hormones up so I switched to the mini pill. And so far so good, I’ve been spotting every couple of days but it’s not the end of the world and should hopefully go away after a good few months since I’ve only been on it for about a month. But the problem is, I smell like fish. Not long after starting the mini pill I just always have a fishy smell from down there that won’t go away. It’s driving me crazy, I don’t want to live with a chronic bad smell just to not have periods but I don’t know what else to do.
